Finally...Someone gets why I made the movie, "Extra Credit From Hell". It is a love letter to all of those video stores that had horror movies with cool covers, but were produced and directed by people who just had an idea and the wherewithal to get 'er done. Were they good? Not at all. But did they have an energy about them that made you see it through to the end? Absolutely. In horror, passion was everything. Screw the technical stuff. It's the exact reason we recorded the audio with the camera mics...Because that is the level of detail we went to for this.

Thank you, Ababe for a) finding it, and b) thinking it deserved to be appreciated for what it was with a wider audience.

I have been telling people for years, "Extra Credit From Hell" was NOT a movie to be taken seriously, nor to seek technical merit from. It is just fun as hell to watch, and was even more fun to make...

I mean...I play Satan with retractable wings wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt. What more could you want?!

"When Fighting Monsters" was nominated for Best Drama of 2024 by Darkland International Film Festival. I still cannot believe the amount of love we have been shown by the film community for the self-produced films we create here in with limited budgets, but extremely real stories that seem to overcome that lack of budget. We think it proves that taking a risk in storytelling is something people have been craving, and we cannot wait to make more.

I walked into my bathroom and encountered this situation...

Me: Josie...What are you doing?

Josie: I am going to drown myself in your sink.

Me: But why?! Have we not loved you enough?

Josie: No. You all have been great.

Me: So what is the problem?

Josie: I'm 12 years old.

Me: Well, we all get old, Josie. What's wrong with that?

Josie: In my 12 years of life, no one has ever found me tasty enough to eat.

Me: Josie, have you been watching Newsmax again?

I know we suck at social media, but at least our films don't suck. We would rather suck at social media though.

If you are looking for a recap as to what is going on with our little Austin Film Production company, here is a quick recap I threw together to keep everyone in the loop. It looks like "Kin" will have it's premiere screening at Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards 2024!

Can't wait...Music videos and film at the same venue?! And we get to be a part of it? Yes, please. "Kin" is a perfect fit for it. :)

Having covid during the summer sucks...What doesn't suck is when you are finally able to look at your email and notice two comedy horror films you wrote are simultaneously awarded on the same day from two different .
