It’s a true honor to be able to stand on this stage with my friends who have played and help capture their experience, but the emotions felt with playing to an audience of friends, family and fans can only truly be felt by the artist. finished his set to the largest crowd I’ve ever witnessed as an opening act, this time for and the emotions shown here are clear for a couple reasons, that Red Rocks is an incredible venue, and more so that all of us fans came early, sang the songs and gave all of our emotions right back to the guys on stage. My name is Mike and I am the booking agent for Cody Jinks.

Today Cody Jinks was rehearsing with his Metal Band Caned by Nod. He had sent me a text a few days ago to see if I was coming by. I had planned on it because I was excited to hear the band and the songs. He texted me this morning and said "I got something for you when you stop by". He went to see Ghost last night I figured he had picked me up a t-shirt. When I showed up he and the band finished up a song and he walked over and grabbed a Gibson Guitar Case. He said "Here, this is what I wanted to give you". I was in shock. He said "Open it". I opened it up and there was a Gibson Les Paul signed by LES PAUL himself. It read "To Mike. Keep Rocking. Les Paul." Now, Les Paul died in 2009, and I'm obviously not the Mike that the signature is directed to, but Cody found this guitar, bought it, and gave it to me.
Now, this means to much to me on so many different levels. First of all, I'm a huge Gibson Les Paul fan and obviously the man himself, Les Paul, is God Like in every way. To have something signed by him, let alone an actual Les Paul, is something I never ever thought would happen. I didn't know what to say. The whole crew knew it was coming and I was moved to tears. Thankfully Keith and Tyler from the crew snapped some photos. It was a moment I will never ever forget.
I have been Cody's booking agent for a long time and it's an honor in every way. It's always an honor when someone trusts you enough to help them with their career. The things that Cody has done and the heights he has achieved are incredible. I am very proud of my role in this and what I have been able to be a part of. People ask me all the time and I always say that Cody is the exact same person he was when I met him 10 years ago when he was playing for tips on a barstool around Dallas and Forth Worth. He is the most gracious and giving person you can find. The fact that he thought enough of me to give me this incredible gift is something I will never forget and I will cherish it until the day I die.
