Faceless marketing, let’s talk about it👇🏽 As a social media marketer for multi-million dollar brands, let me tell you why I’m not in support of Faceless accounts. Unless you’re hiding under a blanket, you’ve likely seen the new trend of Faceless marketing taking over Instagram. Aka - people posting content that strategically NEVER shows their face. The truth is, some people have been able to earn some money with a Faceless account - (some), but here is why 99% of people don’t, & of those that do, I find it unethical. Because they are selling a course on how to do Faceless Marketing that promises to teach you how you can make money with your own Faceless account so if you’re interested in selling that same course, you might make a few sales That could work, as a short term plan... Reality is, in order to build an ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC & UNIQUE brand that makes a long term splash in the market place or is worth selling one day, you need to build the most important thing with your audience, TRUST. Imagine the entire 20+ seasons of the Kardashians was filmed from the back of their heads, or from their shoulders down, how long would you watch? Would you trust a heart surgeon who stood behind a screen & only showed you their hands? You likely wouldn’t watch a full episode & you wouldn’t book that surgery (I HOPE!) The reality is that faceless videos are incredibly aesthetic, & often they’ll go viral because of that, but ultimately that content creator makes zero connection with their audience & without connection, even if you DO show your face, you wont make sales. Connection=Sales. Period. A Faceless account will only get you so far & if you choose to make one...don’t quit your day job, cause it won’t last long.
