Bucket list band finally ✔️ ✅️ ☑️ behold my amazing photography and failure to turn off night mode. My friend Jeremiah let me know this show was happening in Mesa, AZ. Luckily it fell at the end of my work week so I changed my flight two nights before the show, bought a ticket, hotel, car, and came down to the fu***ng 🏜 to see . Did they play my two favorite songs? Absolutely. Are my ears forever fu**ed up after being in the echo chamber of the Nile Theater without hearing protection? Yup. Am I running on 2.5 hours of sleep waiting for my flight home because I think I'm 25? Yep. Will I die? Likely. Worth it? 💯. Also, in Mesa is a super cool place with a killer drink list and charcuterie boards, one of which includes Ghost Pepper cheese which is delicious and a bit painful. .worship

My darling sister, , got us some tickets to see the legends that are throw down at for my birthday. She is the best. Also, next time I see a show there I'm going to rent a chopper and rappel down like a motherfu***ng gangsta because my ass is too fat and decrepit to park in the lower lot and expect to survive the hike into the venue. throws down hard as usual, too. puts on a good show, but their music is just not my particular cup of tea, but they opened with my favorite song from them, so that was cool. opened with a solid set, but I particularly laughed hard at the one guitarist waiting until directly before their last song, which they announced as the final song, to tell the sound guy he's not beating the kick drums or triggers at all. I don't know if that was a new development at the time or but but I definitely was like, "Excellent timing, sir." Good s**t, lollipop.

Haven't done a cigar o'clock in a hot minute while I work on random things at home. I finally opened a bunch of my packs and grabbed randomly. The notes sound delicious. Not super stoked on the cap and wrapper situation at the foot but gonna go for it anyway. S**t happens.

My music on shuffle during my flight dropped this into the mix. ISSUES was the last album I purchased. They've had other songs I dig since then, but the first 4 albums are really the ones you hear a development in their progression. Say what you will about Nu Metal, but they did it great. I'm a bass j***y and the low end is one of their highlights. I've always loved Jonathan Davis' vocals. He did the whiny sound a bit much for me, but his screams are great, and, in my humble opinion, he's got one of the coolest and most unique clean vocals out there. 'Trash' is the best track on this album, to me. It's got killer sonic action going on throughout and the chorus highlights Davis' voice the best out of almost any of their songs of the top of my head. Do yourselves a favor and listen to this song and let me know your thoughts.

My awesome photography from the Death Metal shenanigans last night. Also a visual representation of tying one on too rapidly. Left before sadly. All the bands were badass but I think might have been my favorite. Just brutal with killer grooves. Haven't seen them or or or before and they fu***ng kicked ass too. Good s**t lollipop!
