This prestigious recognition honors the bravery and sacrifice of the sons and daughters of our community who were wounded or killed in combat, defending the freedoms enjoyed by all Americans. Growing up in the musical backdrop of Chicago, smooth jazz saxophonist Jeff Sparks quickly discovered the blue note that would journey him through the world of music. Jeff’s love for music began around age 10 when he fatefully picked up the saxophone from an array of instruments across a table in his music class. From that day forward, Jeff has not put the saxophone down.
