I wish to dedicate this post to a music genre that is indigenous to the Southern United States -- particularly Atlanta, Georgia: 'trap music.'

More than ANY other genre, trap has influenced, and inspired, Me to create some of My finest works since I have immersed Myself in Atlantan culture from the mid-nineties.

Trap music is characterized by complex rapid-fire, high-hats and snares -- machine-gunned sixteenths and rapid-fire, cyclonic triplets, to be exact. Dark, ethereal, moody loops -- often in a minor or harmonic minor key -- provide the musical 'gel' between the beats, whilst scatty, hip-hoppy vocals spit across the tunes.

Because trap is a heaven-sent, aural gift to Me, and has moved Me to create many of My recent ' works, I wish to thank the two Buddies that have exposed Me to it: Reginald Thomas and Reece Harris.

... the "San Miguel" ...

In a tapered rocks glass, muddle a generous pinch of diced CILANTRO.

Squeeze the juices of half a LEMON and half a LIME on top of the muddled cilantro.

Sq**rt a conservative amount [1/8 ounce] of AJI LIMO pepper juice into the mixture.

Add a splash [1/4 ounce] of 50/50 SIMPLE SYRUP.

Spoon in a [3/4 ounce] portion of a BALSAMIC, RASPBERRY LIQUOR, STRAWBERRY SHRUB.

Add ice to fill glass -- rounded at top. Add 1 1/2 ounces of MEZCAL, then fill the remaining volume of the glass with GINGER BEER.

Tumble the resultant - gently - back and forth once with a metallic cocktail shaker.

Insert two stir sticks into the glass and garnish with a thinly sliced lime wheel.

I'm not a Christmas Guy ... but ... I do -- however -- have something on My hallowed wishlist:

Berlin's 1984 release, "Love Life."

Two things I love about that band -- their addictive, synth-driven music and sex-drenched lyrics. (Those two things drive ME, Myself, as a composer; I both relate and appreciate.)

Lead singer, Terri Nunn, looks fab STILL to this day, and their new releases -- some of them covers ("Ordinary Love" [Duran Duran] and "Somebody to Love" [Jefferson Airplane]) -- are imaginative, well-thought-out, and fun!

It's been one of My fave all-time albums, and ... as I just watched a documentary on VH-1 telling of their reuniting in 2002, and having heard some of their new material (quite grand and refreshing, might I say!), I crave it -- having lost track of My 'lesser-quality' version of it years ago.

The version I seek is the most kick-ass version of the release -- remastered and reissued fresh ... very rare. It was released on March 13, 2020, by Rubellan [Remasters] (RUBY12CD) (UPC / barcode: 746160509143).

Only found one online.

Y'All keep Your 'eyes peeled,' and keep Moi in mind. ;)
