Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so, and she dictated these words:
Dear God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letterbox at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.
Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page were the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:
Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I recognized her right away.
Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find. I am wherever there is love.

Today I found this kid tied up with a bag next to him that had his things. I didn't think if I have space, if I have a job, what my husband will say or come on baby let someone else do it. I just took him, I told him it's okay that he is scared, that I understand and that everything will be fine. I am sharing the photo so everyone can see the look of terror, sadness and shock in his eyes. The animal is in shock just like a human child would be. Today we will become a family. I hope our hug heals this traumatic experience.

"A Lady had a pet snake that she loved very much. The snake was about 7 ft long and one day it just stopped eating.
After several weeks of trying everything the lady still couldn't get the snake to eat. The woman took the snake to the vet and explained her situation.
The vet replies, ""I see…has your snake been sleeping with you at night or snuggling real close and stretching himself out?""
The woman said, ""Yes. Everyday and it makes me so sad that I can't help him feel better.""
The vet says to the lady ""Ma'am your snake is not sick. It has been preparing to eat you. He's been sizing you up everyday so he knows how big he has to be. He's not eating so he has enough room to digest you.”
Moral of the Story:
Recognize the snakes around you. Everyone’s intentions aren’t pure.
Just because they seem close to you, doesn't mean their intentions aren't to devour you.
Some people aren’t PRAYING for you. they’re PREYING on you!

UPDATE: This post is to raise the people's AWARNESS about having pets as toys for their kids or just to fulfil a need for a specific time or reason, they feel you and you become their whole world not just their family, so please don't get pets if you can't commit a new part of the family.
PS: WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, People need to start to DO more and JUDGE less.
This is a real picture of a dog who was left at a shelter by an owner who discarded him without looking back. Terrified, withdrawn and confused, he shrinks into the wall and lays in his own urine. Next time you decide to buy that fluffy puppy from the pet store or go to a breeder charging way too much money, think of the thousands abandoned and left like this everyday. I try not to post negative crap too much but this one got to me. Be a responsible pet owner or DON'T HAVE A PET.

"Fable: DON'T ARGUE WITH DONKEYS
The donkey said to the tiger:
- ""The grass is blue"".
The tiger replied:
- ""No, the grass is green.""
The conversation became intense, and the pair opted to present their case for arbitration, so they approached the lion, the ruler of the Jungle.
Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout:
- ""His Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?"".
The lion replied:
- ""True, the grass is blue.""
The donkey hurried and continued:
- ""The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him.""
The king then declared:
- ""The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence.""
The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating:
- ""The Grass Is Blue""...
The tiger accepted his punishment, but before he asked the lion:
- ""Your Majesty, why have you punished me?, after all, the grass is green.""
The lion replied:
- ""In fact, the grass is green.""
The tiger asked:
- ""So why are you punishing me?"".
The lion replied:
- ""That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green.
The punishment is because a brave and intelligent creature like you can't waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that come and bother me with that question.""
The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense...
There are people who, no matter how much evidence and evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred, and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.
When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more. ❤️

These two girls were living in adverse conditions and were removed from the place where they lived. When mom saw them at the shelter, she decided to adopt them together so they wouldn't be separated. This picture was yesterday of their 1st day at their new home....

This wild Kingfisher's grandparent, I found in the garden, nearly dead, some years ago. Nursed him back to health, and set him free. The next morning, the family swooped down, past me, in gratitude.
A couple of years later, I awoke to find the next generation, a parent of this bird, waiting for me on the terrace, his wing seemed broken. I picked him up and examined him. He never flinched, and stared deeply into my eyes. A thorn had locked his wing from operating. I pulled it out, and set him free. Without fail, he passes my window every day at the same time, crying out to me.
This baby, sat in the tree, eye to eye with me, then flew directly to my hand, and sat there for several minutes, before flying away.
Intuition, compassion, good intent, those essences of love, was all we had. Pure, unspoken.
An energy that has no end, and passes silently onward, much further than we can imagine
