With the publishing of his first-ever children’s book, Former Governor Nathan Deal works to promote literacy and to pay tribute to his late wife, Sandra. In an interview with GPB, Deal said, "If you really think about it, literacy is one of the primary building blocks of civilization.” Deal hopes his book can be a tool and an inspiration to future generations to understand the importance of literacy.
