Good Morning, someone forwarded me this and it was such encouraging word to start my week off on a good note. I decided to share. This devtional titled.
THE GOD IN YOU
Scripture text: 1 Samuel 8:1-7, helped me understand why people move around so much? Why they move from person to person, church to church, and even family to family; and can't seem to settle down.
A bottle of water at Costco is $0.50. That exact same bottle of water in the supermarket is worth about $1.50.
The same bottle in a bar costs $3.00. In a good restaurant or hotel, that bottle of water can be worth up to $5.00. At an airport or on an airplane, you may be charged between $8.00 and $10.00 for that same bottle of water.
The bottle and the brand is the same, the only thing that changes is the place where it was purchased. Each place gives a different value to the same product.
Many people move from place to place looking for value from the people or situation they are in.
When you feel like you are worth nothing and it seems everyone around you makes you feel alone or unwanted, you can keep changing places, or you can recognize that you have intrinsic value because of whose you are, not where you are.
Jesus didn't go among people seeking to be valued by them. He went looking to change people's hearts by moving them to a place where they would accept Him as God with them.
Once you understand that you have intrinsic value to your heavenly Father, you will become grounded and stable wherever you are; because He is in you; and He loves you unconditionally. He will never leave you nor forsake you (as people might).
Your value is not determined because of where you are, but because of who you belong to!
Have the courage to stand and affect the atmosphere where you are rather than to continue moving each time you feel discomfort. God's people are never meant to fit in, but to change the atmosphere where they are!
"Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]" John.14:27 AMP
If God is in you, and you are displaying the fruit of the Spirit, who can truly be against (the God Who is in) you?💕
Eternal Heavenly Father, Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Help me to still my restless heart and realize I am not to be conformed to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of my mind to the fact that I belong to you wherever I am. In the world, I will experience tribulation but I can take courage because, Jesus, You are with me! In the Mighty name of Christ Jesus, My Lord, My Savior amen!
