Callie's sister Kristen and her fiance Ray have a dog that they're trying to find a forever home for. The pup's name is Carbon and they rescued him from a shelter 24 hours before he was going to be euthanized. If you think you are his humans, please reach out via Carbon's IG account:
ABOUT CARBON:
🦴2.5 years old
🦴male, neutered
🦴pittie mix (we think he also has boxer in him)
🦴crate trained
🦴high-ish energy (needing more devoted attention than exercise but also loves to play)
🦴house trained
🦴crate-trained
🦴has done well with female dogs
🦴is male dog selective
🦴gets overly excited at the sight of another cat, dog, or human but the gentle leader makes it manageable
HIS IDEAL HOME WOULD HAVE:
🦴no cats
🦴no small kids (because of his sheer strength, he may unintentionally knock one over)
🦴someone who can devote a lot of time and energy to being with him or have a female, doggy companion to keep him company
🦴lots of peanut butter 🥰
🦴a yard to run around in
Carbon’s ideal human(s) would match his physical strength and snuggly, compassionate heart.
MORE ABOUT CARBON:
Carbon is strikingly handsome and is very strong physically but has a loving soul and is a playful puppy on the inside (but can hold his bladder for several hours like an adult dog). He also is very smart and has a willingness to learn and the potential to be the perfect dog!!!!
We does well on walks in the gentle leader leash which he doesn’t love but has gotten used to.
He loves to explore new hiking trails, is easily spooked by inanimate objects he’s never seen before (we don’t have much information on his past and what he was/was not exposed to) but learns they are nothing to be afraid of when you show him, and likes to play in puddles after it rains.
After a good play, he loves to snuggle. Physical touch is his love language!!! He will sit in your lap and on you as well…he loves to be close ❤️.
He’s not a huge fan of toys, but appreciates tug-of-war and good ole’ fetch with a stick 🙂.
Kristen and Ray are now facing some unforeseen challenges and need help finding him his forever home ASAP (we are also open to finding him another dedicated, foster home)!
Ray is the main one looking after Carbon. 1 year ago, Ray suffered a massive stroke. When we rescued Carbon, Ray was in a stable place, but he’s at a point in his recovery where he can no longer give Carbon the attention and exercise he needs because he has to focus on his recovery once more.
They need help ASAP finding a different living situation (either foster or adoption) for Carbon to keep him out of the shelter and from being euthanized.
