: : Grow Your World is Bringing Youth-Centered Music Studio Experiences to Atlanta!

We are excited to announce that Grow Your World’s Youth Audio Collective is beginning programming!! Yes, we are bringing a transformative music studio project to Atlanta. Opportunities will offer young people from the ages of 13-24 the chance to learn engineering, writing skills, production, and more, while giving them the space to express themselves creatively.

Our mission goes beyond just music. YAC will be a hub for social-emotional learning, helping young people in Atlanta develop the emotional intelligence and resilience they need to thrive. We believe that by creating spaces for youth to explore their artistic talents, we can contribute to reducing the incarceration rate and and improve youth mental health, confidence, pro-social personal and professional outlets, and sense of belonging.

Our goals include allowing this space to serve as a platform for entrepreneurship where students can learn from artists on a local, national, and international level. Our community partners, Makin’ It Studios and Push the Peace, will be joining us in providing innovative and relevant programming and mentorship opportunities.

Having already witnessed incredible success with our arts-based mentorship programs in North Carolina (to date, INKounter, “I Came to Create” and “I AM ART” Summer Camps, Artists in Residency, the Campaign for Healthy Drugs and other Opioid-related arts campaigns, and Grow Your World After School) we’re confident that expanding these efforts to Atlanta will be a powerful resource for the community, courts, and schools. We’ve seen unprecedented changes and opportunities in NC, and we’re eager to bring the same impact to Atlanta.

With our intergenerational model and focus on meaningful connections, we believe the Youth Audio Collective will be a great asset to Atlanta’s youth.

Together, we can create spaces for our young people to grow, learn, and succeed.

I personally choose not to make posts, but I will say the last few years have been very heavy. A lot of dope people I’ve worked with, met, supported, and been supported by in this industry have passed. Life’s short, so I’ve always made it my business to give people their flowers while they’re here. I know this industry is full of weirdos and disingenuous people, but if I ever invited you to be a part of something, gave you an award, or featured you on our platform it was because I honestly wanted to shine a light on something dope you were doing or just share your light with our corner of the world. At some point all lights go out. The ones being shared… and even the one’s shining on them. for all the ones we’ve lost. to those still here. Live In Prosperity!
