Recognizing the need for greater clarity within the amateur combat sports community,
Mr. Willis is addressing the specific "sensitive areas" of amateur boxing—namely, how resources are allocated and what tangible benefits gyms and athletes receive when partnering with the AAB.
Understanding the AABs Mission
The AAB was founded on the principle of radical transparency.
While many sanctioning bodies operate behind closed doors, the AAB’s mission is to provide an educational roadmap for young athletes transitioning from hobbyist to elite competitors and on to a Professional boxer.
"Our goal isn't just to host fights; it's to build a sustainable ecosystem for the sport," says Mr. Willis. "Transparency is the only way to ensure that gyms and boxers feel protected and valued."
What Gyms and Boxers Can Expect
To provide clear insight into the organization’s operations, Mr. Willis highlighted the following core pillars of the AAB:
Financial Integrity: A clear breakdown of registration fees and how they are reinvested into venue quality, brand education, and official training road map to professional boxing
Athlete Safety: Implementing rigorous health protocols and ensuring that every "Boxing Member" ans events adheres to the highest safety standards in the industry.
Gym Support Systems: Providing member gyms with administrative resources to help manage athlete records and fight histories more effectively.
Educational Resources: Offering workshops for coaches and parents to understand the "business" of boxing, ensuring athletes are prepared for life both inside and outside the ring.
Defining "The Boxing AAB Standard"
"The Boxing AAB Standard " serves as more than a tournament; it is a proving ground designed to mirror the structure of professional-level events while maintaining the integrity of amateur status.
By participating, boxers gain exposure to scouts and high-level competition in an environment focused on their long-term development.
