Registration is still open for the Haden Institute Summer Dream and Spirituality Conference: Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul. We hear few spots are still open to join live or you can always join virtually on Zoom! The Rose and Haden have a long history of overlap and many contributors are Haden grads and attendees. If you attend this year and create anything related (like the collage here from Haden’s post) be sure to send it in as a submission to the Rose 🌹 the submission window is still open!

Her series "Poetic Inquiry" with LABRC begins Monday. What is "depth poetry"? How can the concepts discussed by Carl Jung and demonstrated by his own writing become techniques for composing poetry? Poets Adam Wyeth and Roula-Maria Dib will highlight this intertwining of psychology and literature and read extracts from their poetry collections followed by a workshop. In it, they will share some of the writing styles they have developed, all inspired by Jung’s analytical psychology. From metaphor to myth, alchemy to active imagination—there is so much to bring into a poem!

Come join us again this month! Wonderful creative offerings as usual and a fantastic group of people to share the Zoom space!

In this monthly event, Jungian creatives gather and share their art, music, poetry, and other writings. This Saturday, Post-Jungian writer and academic Jessica Steel will kick off the session with an opening talk entitled, “The Inspiration of Jung and Alchemy in Speculative Fiction”. She will also read an excerpt from her current work in progress, Black Sol: Book One of The Soul Alchemist’s Trilogy and will discuss the core inspirations of Jungian alchemical and mythical concepts on the book and her work in general.

Following Jessica's talk will be a series of short art presentations and poetry readings by various Dixie Junius, Mary Apikos, Hedy Habra, Aaron Mason, Roula-Maria Dib, and anyone else from the attendees who’d like to give it a shot at the open mic. If you would like to present a creative work after the opening talk, please let us know before July 13th!
