A Gift for Bishop Barron | Prize for Excellence in Theology and the Arts
The Center for Beauty and Culture at Benedictine College was honored to award its inaugural Prize for Excellence in Theology and the Arts to Bishop Robert Barron, auxiliary bishop of Los Angeles and founder of Word on Fire Catholic Ministries.
To commemorate Bishop Barron’s acceptance of the Prize, the Center commissioned an extraordinary gift for him: a handmade illuminated manuscript page in the medieval tradition. Made by the noted UK artist Andrew Stewart Jamieson, the page relates the story from the life of Saint Thomas Aquinas from which Bishop Barron chose his own episcopal motto, and references his life as a priest, bishop and leader in the field of the new evangelization.

Stations of the Cross Prayerful Meditations
We invite you to take a moment of contemplative prayer through the Stations of the Cross made by classical painter Leonard Porter and written from the point of view of God the Father.
In each station, the Father will explain how his Son became little for us, what he did to pour out his life for us, and invite us to say yes to his offer of fatherly love.
