I’m going out SOON to check out our local parklets and try to win $100! It looks like Dead Oak Brewing Company and Wild Fields Brewhouse are the Atascadero businesses participating, so that’s where we will be heading! Know how to track your ballot!

This morning, the Secretary of State’s office sent an email to voters announcing the launch of our “Where’s My Ballot?” tool statewide. Attached are sample images of the emails that were distributed.

Some voters may have had intermittent issues accessing our "Where's My Ballot?" site due to heavy traffic after our statewide email. We worked with BallotTrax to increase site capacity. Any voter who had issue accessing the tool should try again.

Who all has received their address confirmation card? There's some super helpful information on there including something I missed in my last video (oops!). Drop off locations will be open 28 days before the election and will close at 8pm on election day (November 3rd).

PRE-ELECTION ADDRESS CONFIRMATION CARD BEING SENT TO ALL REGISTERED VOTERS

FOR NOVEMBER 3, 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

In compliance with Governor Newsom’s Executive Order and new legislation, all voters will receive a ballot in the mail in the County’s initial mailing of Vote By Mail ballots for the November 3rd Presidential Election. As a result, the County Clerk-Recorder office is sending a Pre-Election Address Confirmation Card to all voters for updates, if necessary, in preparation of the VBM ballot
mailing in early October.

Voters are urged to review their residence and mailing address on their respective Address Confirmation card:
1) If the information is correct, you may discard the card.
2) If the information has changed, update your information, sign the card and send as soon as possible, but no later than August 28.

If voters are unsure of their registration status or have questions, they are urged to contact the elections office at [email protected] or 805-781-5228. For more information on the November 3rd Presidential Election, please visit the County Clerk-Recorder’s website at www.slovote.com .

CITY COUNCIL MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT for Tonight at 6 pm! VIRTUAL ONLY!

Please be advised, when the agenda for the July 14, 2020 City Council meeting was posted we anticipated being able to offer physical attendance in a limited capacity, but following Governor Newsom’s most recent orders we ask that interested individuals plan to participate in tonight’s City Council meeting virtually.

To maximize public safety while still maintaining transparency and public access, the meeting will be live-streamed on SLO-SPAN.org, on Spectrum cable Channel 20 in Atascadero, and on KPRL Radio 1230AM. The video recording of the meeting will be available through the City’s website or by visiting https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/rt/556252136707240464 and will repeat daily on Channel 20 at 1:00 am, 9:00 am, and 6:00 pm.

Interested individuals are highly encouraged to call 805-538-2888 to listen and provide public comment via phone.
