Thanks to Holly Spann for all the hard work in putting together yesterday’s Corky’s Corner Day which was proclaimed by Mayor Kerry McCarver. I appreciate all the kind words by Holly, Tim Adkins, Pat Smith, Kelly and Tommy Ellis, Jimmy Hardin, Alisha Duncan, Jensen from Havaday’s Barbershop in Ashland City, and to all of those who left messages on Facebook. Also, thanks to all the regular customers at Street Coffee, Teresa Young, Crystal Jackson and all the young waitresses who greeted me yesterday morning when I arrived. It was great to be back in my corner after such a long absence. A special thanks to my wife, Aubrey, who was with me day and night during the 50 days I was in the hospital and rehab facility (she’s the best). I appreciate my family and Aubrey ‘s family, the cards, telephone calls and well wishes. Most of all the hand of God took care of me during this illness and gave me a second chance.
Thanks again for everything.

Corkey

Just a note to thank Holly Spann for taking care of cancelling tomorrow’s Corky’s Corner due to Corkey being back in the hospital. He was taken back to St. Thomas West this afternoon due to having fluid on his lungs.

Update on Corkey - we are leaving the hospital this afternoon after 24 days. He has made great improvements but still will need rehab. This afternoon we are going to Hillcrest in Ashland City for the rehab. We hope we will not be there long. I am so glad to have him that close to home. If you would like to visit or call him it would be great. Thanks for all the prayers.
