Joking aside, the amount of work the national guard is doing is remarkable. They've helped people AND animals survive. Without them, who knows where we'd be.

Surrounding area towns are suffering with the same issue and a much longer timeline before it's corrected. This is what's left of Jaime and Lisa Friedman's home. They were inside of it when a landslide broke through their home and pushed both their vehicles inside and into the kitchen. They lost everything. Unfortunately, their home insurance doesn't cover mudslides. So, they have to rebuild from scratch. Their daughter set up this GoFundMe for them. This post goes out to all the lineman who have worked 24 hours a day since Hurricane Helene hit us here in Western North Carolina. They've come from all over the country and Canada. They've left their own families, to help strangers. They've slept on their trucks or under them. They've braved dangerous areas so we can have power restored. If you haven't had a chance to thank a lineman today, try to. Because they've been real heros during this time of recovery. 💗

Big shout out to and for getting these water totes into WNC. These totes allow people who haven't been able to flush their toilets in over a week, to finally do so. They've been dropped at nursing homes, and neighborhoods that have no access to water. This is the good that can be done when willing businesses and creative neighbors get together. Thanks for keeping .

We still need help. So many families are in desperate need of supplies. Most people don't have water or electric. The majority don't have cell service or Internet. That means finding out where to get much needed resources is extremely difficult. Any help to get supplies would be really appreciated. And if you can also help Robyn and Seth who have lost their home and all their and their daughter's possessions, would help them get back on their feet. 💗

This is Robyn and Seth. They were at home when the flood waters rose. They had to break out of their bathroom window and swim to higher ground. The second picture of just the house roofs is the picture they took once they made it. They lost everything. Robyn's daughter's rooms are destroyed and they have nothing to come home to. Well, I don't usually post things like this because I try and stick to things that make you laugh. But as you probably have heard, Hurricane Helene came through WNC and the path of devastation is unimaginable. Yes, roads are gone, homes are destroyed but what really matters is the countless people still unaccounted for. Seeing the posts loved ones make, begging for people to help find their family member of friend, is heart-breaking. Most of us haven't had water or power since the storm hit. Some people will be weeks without it. The first responders helping are working endlessly and coming from all over the country including Canada. Amidst the chaos, destruction and heart break, there's beauty in the countless people helping us to heal.

Any help would be so appreciated.
