As temperatures rise, so does the risk of serious burns from a common backyard item — your garden hose!

🌞 On hot days, water sitting inside a garden hose can heat up to 130–140°F or more — hot enough to cause severe burns in seconds, especially to children and pets.

🔹 Before using a hose:
✅ Let it run for several seconds to flush out any hot water.
✅ Always test the temperature before spraying it on people, pets, or delicate surfaces.
✅ Store hoses in the shade when possible to reduce heat buildup.

👶🐾 Remember, little ones and furry friends are especially vulnerable. Let’s stay safe this summer and help prevent heat-related injuries! 🔥💧
