I believed the only way to make it was by going to college and securing a 9-5 career.
But I’m taking control of my life back.
I thought the company benefits, vacation time and hybrid working environment were a perfect fit for me.
However it made me a prisoner ⛓️💥 with an electronic leash 💻
Even on vacation 🏖️ I wasn’t free. I was plagued by calls 📱 and emails 📧 requiring my attention.
As my responsibilities increased it got even worse.
My lunch breaks were no longer mine. I found myself ⛓️ chained to my desk, eating while I was working.
Every morning I woke up ☕️ and would immediately start checking my emails 📧 to “front load” my day.
I finally started getting angry 🤬 with myself and my company for the unhealthy workload.
I was told to offload some of my responsibilities but not given any viable candidates to train 🤷🏼♀️
10 years with my company and realizing I have 18 more years to go before retirement 💀
🛑 I can’t do it! I won’t do it!

-Go to the explore page 🔎
-Find content that you resonate with (in YOUR industry) and comment on reels or posts within your niche.
-Make sure that you 💯 watch the whole reel & read the caption, otherwise the algorithm might think you’re being sheisty trying to gain likes/follows and limit your interactions.
💥 DON’T comment on cooking videos, etc. in your business IG account unless that’s all you want to see in your timeline!💥
(This will train the algorithm to categorize your account properly, which again gets you in front of the right audience increasing your reach as well.)

But in all seriousness Starbucks is what got me through college, trying to hold down a full time plus job, single mom to three kids, and going to Engineering school.

Our daughter’s 8th birthday was a disaster.
Nothing terrible happened to HER on her birthday and all the kids had a great time.
However it shook me to my SOUL…
We have 4 kids and she is the youngest 🐣.
We’ve always joked that her 18th birthday cake 🎂 will be “to go” so we can retire somewhere on a beach 🏖️.
⚠️ 8 years old means we have 10 years left until then!
⚠️ What’s terrifying is the realization that at our current rate we will not be ready to retire in 10 years.
⚠️ Equally scary is that we only have 10 years left with her until she turns 18.
⚠️ 10 more birthdays not currently being able to spend as much time with her or our adult children.
⚠️ Missing out on experiences with her due to our 9-5’s that pay the bills.
⚠️ Her 8th birthday is the final countdown. The clock 🕒 is ticking faster than ever.
I wish we would have realized this sooner for our other kiddos sake, but we were so busy trying to provide for them 🏠 that we didn’t see it 🤦🏼♀️.
