Calling all rare northern soul lovers! This one will be going up for sale shortly at www.classic45s.com. Save your holiday $$!
Most of you will know that John Manship sold a copy of this at auction in February of this year. Prior to that the only sale I've been able to find is from 2018 for a VGish copy. In deference to Manship's knowledge, we quote the write up from his auction here for your reference:
"RAREST OF THE RARE! Never released, never mailed shotted to USA radio stations. If this record wasn't so insanely unavailable over the last 50 years , it would have been a Wigan Casino MONSTER !!! A 1000 times rarer than the M.V.P.'s, a 45 of infinite rarity This previously unplayed copy, that except for an airing on Dean Anderson's "Sound Of Soul" radio show, an archive copy that surfaced straight from the EMI library clear-out, along with several other Cobblestone 45s that Buddah mailed to Europe only, in a publicity exercise, to see if record companies and publishers may be enticed to release any of them or utilize in the form of their own copyright versions. Triumphant horns explode the intro into orbit, ringing vibes decorate its path to a lush vocal, elevated by an avalanche strings. Strap yourself in for a journey into real-deal Northern Soul from the desk of the "Wizard" Stan Vincent, one of the main men supplying at Buddah records with standout songwriting ! Stan "The Wizard" who crafted the timeless soul classic Five Stairsteps - "Oooh Child" and Ronnie Dyson's "When You Get Right Down to It" also many "Vincent" creations become Northern Soul plays. Paul Wagnar's "The World I Knew " being quite easily the rarest of all his work, as the USA release never happened and promotion seemingly channeled into Europe only. An all powerful Northern Soul storm, a huge production, an imposing juggernaut hardly any NS DJ or collector has ever owned."

Condition of the audio is very close to Mint, but you can listen to discern for yourself. The labels appear Mint to us, but the vinyl would separately grade EX+ - M- ... scuffing is apparent, but does not impact the stunning audio.
