Don't be a Christian "influencer" - be a Christian witness. If you get pulled into the hype of being an influencer, you'll lose sight of why you started in the first place.
There are a lot of challenges to sharing your witness - your personal story - through social media, but it can also be very rewarding. Those rewards, though, are not in the number of likes, followers, and subscribers; it comes when you can have a positive impact for even just 1 person.

A prayer so challenging, many Christians simply won't do it:
“Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, all that I have and possess. Thou hast given all to me. To Thee, O Lord, I return it. All is Thine, dispose of it wholly according to Thy will. Give me Thy love and Thy grace, for this is sufficient for me.”
-OR-
“Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, all that I have and possess. You have given all to me. To You, O Lord, I return it. All is Yours, dispose of it wholly according to Your will. Give me Your love and Your grace, for they are sufficient for me.”
This is the Suscipe prayer by St. Ignatius of Loyola, and it's part of the Spiritual Exercises. It's one thing to pray it, and it's another thing to live it. Today is the day we remember St. Ignatius of Loyola, July 31st - the anniversary of his death.

Step aside Michael Jordan, #Jesus is the real G.O.A.T. #Bible #Saintquotes #LoveGodLovePeople
I’m dating myself a bit, but there was an old Michael Jordan Gatorade commercial with a cheesy theme song that goes, “Like Mike, I want to be like Mike. Wannabe, wannabe, wannabe like Mike…”
And while I’m sure that video (and not my singing) inspired a generation of kids to pick up a basketball, there’s something far greater. St. Clare of Assisi said, "We become what we love and who we love shapes what we become. If we love things, we become a thing. If we love nothing, we become nothing."
If you want to become more like Jesus, it begins with learning to love like Him. Follow in the footsteps of Jesus to a greater faith.
"Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love." -1 Corinthians 16:13-14 #Bible #faith
Society is becoming a hostile environment for Christians, and we can learn something from the struggles faced by the early church. They struggled with finding their identity as a church, just as we struggle in the modern world today.
Paul is challenging you to be strong and courageous, but he is also challenging you to love. Love is what the church has been built on for 2,000 years, and it is the reason the church is what it is today.
And that’s why I’ve spent the last month teaching you how to love, because it is important for both your personal growth and the rebuilding of the church. #LoveGodLovePeople #LoveYourself
"You learn to speak by speaking, to study by studying, to run by running, to work by working, and just so, you learn to love by loving." - #Saint Francis de Sales #saintquotes
There’s a misconception that love comes naturally to you, but in fact, it’s a learned skill - and something that you can get better at. So to #loveGod, #loveOthers, and #loveYourself better, you need to practice. Over time, it will come more and more naturally to you.
Sometimes, as Christians, we feel that we need to love -regardless of the cost- but that does not mean that we need to allow people to emotionally, physically, sexually, or spiritually abuse us. Love with all your heart, but love within the boundaries of a healthy relationship.
The reality is that not all relationships are healthy. Love, then, requires boundaries, and those boundaries will help you love more - not less.
I have personally experienced the pain of an abusive relationship, and it was boundaries that allowed me to take back control of my life again.

Loving those closest to us is sometimes the hardest of all. #loveGodloveOthers #saintquotes #MotherTeresa #IgnatianSpirituality #AMDG
Mother Teresa's father died when she was only 8, but it was said that her mother continued to bring an abundance of love into the home, and it shaped her into the loving woman who eventually became a saint.
Contrast that to homes filled with abuse and violence, and children in those homes will struggle to have good relationships as they get older. They will struggle to love themselves, love God, and love others.
So bring love into your home; make it a priority, because your kids' ability to have happy, healthy relationships depends on it.
Your eyes will deceive you. To love like God, you must see like God. Look at the person's heart - on the inside, not what you see on the outside.
In 1 Samuel 16, God sent Samuel to anoint a new king, and at first, he was impressed by David's brothers. But God challenged Samuel to look at their heart instead. The Lord said in 1 Samuel 16:7, “The Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
God led Samuel to anoint David, whose father did not even bring him to Samuel originally, assuming that David would not be chosen king. Yet God had a different plan in mind and could see more in David than his outward appearance might show.
So as you love others, don't assume you know who they are based on how they look on the outside, look into their heart and know that God has a greater purpose for them - a greater purpose for all of us.

Don't wait for opportunities to come your way - seek out those who need your help. Love with intention. #Jesus #Bible #Faith
As we enter the last section of this love series, where we focus on loving others as yourself, we look to Jesus's example of seeking out people to love - not waiting for them to come to Him.
Jesus could have sat by the Sea of Galilee waiting for His followers because news of His works and miracles spread across the region, but He knew there were people out there in need of His help, who would not have been able to make the trip.
So Jesus intentionally sought them out - Jesus loved His neighbor with intention and purpose.
Are you waiting for opportunities to love your neighbor, or are you out in the community, looking for opportunities to live and love like Jesus?
Seeking knowledge can lead to pride, but seeking wisdom leads you to a deeper relationship with God.
Proverbs 19:8 tells us, “He who gets wisdom loves himself.” On our final video on loving yourself, I leave you with that advice: seek wisdom.
As you grow in wisdom, you will learn to love God, others, and yourself even more. A deeper understanding of the faith, the beauty of God's creation, and His purpose for your life will help get you there.
But reading that in a book, or seeing it in a video does little good compared to truly knowing and accepting it in your heart. That's my prayer for you today - that God will bless you with wisdom and love.

Don't listen to others; listen to God. The external voices in your life will often fail you, so you need to turn to the one voice that won’t: God’s. While the world fails you, God is telling you that you are amazing, you are beautiful, and that you are loved. God wants you to know that you are exactly who He created you to be, and He has a purpose for you in mind.
Don't let the negative words of others shape your internal voice. Instead, let the Holy Spirit guide your internal voice to know that God loves you for who you are.
