Frozen in time these dead trees on the salt pan in Sossusvlei demonstrate grace and a sense of stillness. The contrast between the colors of the salt and the sand of the adjacent dunes enhanced by the play of light. Witness to the passing sandstorms in a place where time stands still.

Mystic Forest
I have been visiting this forest every year for the last 10 years. Each year I walk amongst the giant redwood trees and contemplate on the miracle of how this forest has thrived for thousands of years, and hopefully will do so for several thousands more.

The land of high passes Ladakh, India.
Journeying through Kargil district of Ladakh is a breathtaking experience. Not because the air is thin but because the symphony of light, color and atmosphere through this region of the Himalayas is deeply satisfying both for the mind and the soul. God’s Mountain
Gonbo Rangjon mountain in Zanskar Ladakh is considered to be holy by the local inhabitants who practice Buddhism. Standing at the base of the mountain you are at 14,800 ft and towering above at 18,110 ft stands this divine peak. This was one of my favorite locations to photograph in Ladakh, especially when the setting sun illuminated the mountain.
