A Mother's Blessing to a Stranger
As a professional, I don't expect much when I show up and do my job; and I mean that in the best way possible.
I have a duty to captured and present these memories to my clients as the job is intended.
During today's shoot for Maysee Lor's wedding, she had requested for me to record her parents. This shot was intended for the parents to leave some words behind for the newly weds.
Both parents were so loving and had no negativity to express.
Their demeanor was so calm, and they left the ideal words of love and encouragement that any child would want from their parents.
To my surprise though; Maysee's mother ended her speech with giving thanks and a blessing to me and the photographer.
I've never experienced this before, espcially from a person I've only known for a few minutes while doing my job.
These were the same words my Grandma always said to me, and it became a true reminder of my purpose and what I need to become.
In many ways, her kind words lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders due to my own personal and mental struggles.
Her words held even more weight becuase I was but a stranger to the family at that very moment; only being present to do my job...
I accept this blessing with open arms.
A simple thank you from me will never be able to repay such debt.
