From Indiana State Police Press Release:
Madison County, IN - On November 9th, 2024 at approximately 10:00 p.m., correctional staff at the Madison County Jail discovered an inmate unresponsive in his cell. The inmate, identified as Jacob S. Lyttle, was immediately checked by jail staff, who began administering medical aid until the Anderson Fire Department arrived. Despite their efforts, Lyttle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Lyttle was alone in his cell at the time of discovery and was held at the Madison County Jail on unrelated charges. The cause of death is currently under investigation. At this time, there is no evidence of foul play.

The Indiana State Police is leading the investigation with the Madison County Coroner's Office. An autopsy was performed to determine the cause of death. No further details are available to be released.

Update 11/12/24 at 11:06 AM , we asked how long the water was out for,

Beeman answered " The blockages were extensive, and they had to alternate shut offs over the weekend. We transported individuals out to other facilities to reduce the numbers."

Again, we will bring more updates as we get them.

7:30 PM on 11/11/24, according to the scanner they called for a tow truck for a full sized van, and CSX has the trains stopped, outside of that no further information.
