According to the state Permanent Fund Dividend Division's website, more than 576,000 dividend applications have been filed as of Thursday afternoon. Baltimore bridge collapsed today at 1:30am east coast time when a cargo ship lost power and struck the bridge. 2 people were rescued, 1 of which is in critical condition. 6 construction workers are still missing.

According to reports, a mayday call enabled officials to stop traffic at both ends of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge to try to evacuate people from the span before it collapsed.

Increased patrols are in place through the holiday weekend, dedicated to preventing fatal and serious injury crashes through robust DUI and reckless driving enforcement. Motorists witnessing others driving dangerously are encouraged to make a REDDI report (Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately) by calling 911.
