Review of Disneyland’s version of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure:

Both versions of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure share key elements, such as an outdoor garden and a visit to Tiana’s Foods, but subtle differences in queue layout and mural spaces make each ride unique. In the queue, historical photos of Tiana’s business and familiar background music set the scene. Both Disneyland and Disney World feature the salt mine concept in the rockwork before boarding. The loading areas look almost identical, with overhead crates and a yellow/green color scheme. Disneyland’s version, however, includes a more detailed building pre-lift and extra Tiana’s Foods crates. Both rides feature the song “Down in New Orleans” after the first lift, and though Disneyland’s animatronics are arranged differently due to space, characters like Louis appear in both parks. Disneyland also introduces fireflies earlier, setting a magical tone, and its quicker pacing reduces dead space, keeping the story flowing smoothly. While the finale, featuring Tiana’s “Special Spice” song, is similar in both parks, Disneyland’s superior lighting adds an extra sparkle. Overall, both rides hit the same story beats, but Disneyland’s tighter pacing and enhanced lighting give it a slight edge. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland on November 15, 2024!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland on Nov. 15, 2024! While both parks share the same story and familiar scenes, Disneyland’s version moves faster with better pacing and improved lighting. From the bayou to the Mardi Gras finale, it’s an extra magical experience! 🎢✨

Welcome aboard the world-famous Jungle Cruise! As you can see, the jungle is so thick even the elephants are getting a little ‘trunk-y.’ Don’t worry though, this canopy provides excellent shade… and an even better view of the sun. Keep your arms and legs inside the boat, because if you lose them, well, you’ll have to wave with your feet!

The two Disney-built trolleys are identified as #623 and #717, which reference the original “Red Cars” that ran on the Pacific Electric lines during the 1920s. Streetcars first ran in Los Angeles in 1887, with an electric interurban line connecting the city to nearby Pasadena completed by 1895.

Ever wondered about the mysterious tree in front of the Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland’s Frontierland? 🍂🎃 Every Halloween since 2007, this majestic oak gets a spook-tacular transformation, all thanks to the legendary Ray Bradbury! 🌟 The famed author behind Fahrenheit 451 had a deep love for Halloween, and his 1972 novel The Halloween Tree inspired this magical tribute. Now, the Halloween Tree glows with twinkling orange lights and jack-o’-lanterns, keeping the spirit of Halloween alive at Disneyland. 🎃✨

Step into a world where hinges creak in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, candlelight flickers in the still air, and ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight. This is the unique experience of Disneyland’s Happiest Haunts Tour, a journey unlike any other!

The tour was not just spooky but also interactive and engaging, making it a perfect way to kick off the Halloween season. We began by going backstage and meeting two very famous ghosts from the Haunted Mansion, Phineas and Gus. The highlight was taking a photo with them, adding a fun and personal touch to the experience.

Overall, I had a great time with the Happiest Haunts Tour. However, I believe it could have been even better with a few additional elements to make it more worthwhile, especially considering the price of $120. Compared to other tours I’ve taken at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, the experience could have been enhanced by including a treat and a ride on the Haunted Mansion. But since that ride is using a virtual queue this year, that might not have been possible. Additionally, I wish the reserved fireworks seating could have been in front of the castle instead of “it’s a small world.” It would have been great to mention Rolly Crump’s Museum of Weird during the tour. Not saying it was a big miss.

The Happiest Haunts Tour is a limited-time offering at Disneyland Resort. Don’t miss it! 👻 🎃
