Spotting for Jeffrey Klynsma in Duel 1 then running in Duel 2

Roos-Klynsma Racing Esports Oval League Daytona Qualifying Update:

2 of our 4 teams showed up to qualify at Daytona and showed good speed, but got bumped by later cars.

Jeff Klynsma went out early on and placed P2 after his run and stayed there for a bit, but ended up dropping back to end up in P19 once the track started to take rubber and guys were running blistering laps.

I went out 20th and also placed P2 after my laps, but was also bumped down to 8th after all was said and done.

Chris Roberge and Lilith Peters are also teammates for this year, but were not able to qualify for Daytona.

For next week's duel races, Jeff will be starting in 10th and Roberge will be rolling off in 16th. Duel 2 features myself starting in 5th and Lilith in 15th. Being affiliated with Hubka Motorsports though gives us lots of opportunities for help in both races and moving forward in the season!

Tune in on FRN for both Duels on Wednesday to see how we'll line up for the season opener at Daytona in 2 weeks! Hoping to have my stream figured out by then as well so you can watch my view of spotting and racing!

Alright y'all. Trying to get new streaming system set up for this coming season and debating on which platform to stream on, so I'd like some input from those who tune in and watch my streams.

The new season unofficially starts tonight! Some changes in the offseason have led me to leave Hubka Motorsports and start my own team (though still affiliated with my old team). Driver lineup will be announced soon with some very familiar faces and some new ones 👀

I’ve sung the praises for my buddy Chris Papa at ONE3 Speed for a very very long time, but I gotta give him yet another shoutout. Told him in passing a while back about an issue that arose with the button box I got from him. Cosmetic issue (light stopped working), nothing affecting the functionality at all so I wasn’t overly worried about it. Got told to send it in so he could look at it, but life took over and I completely forgot about it for a LOOOONG time. Messaged him about it again last month and asked if it was still an option, which it was. Sent the box in and not only was the issue fixed, but it was given a once-through AND updated with the more current housing AND was taken care of during the holiday season. If that isn’t excellent customer service, I don’t know what is.

Well. That's it for the run to go back to back in the SSIL Ghost Cup Series.

Way behind on posts/pictures but had some really good runs in the round of 16 for the playoffs (including my first career pole at Bristol capped off with a 3rd place finish) and was sitting in 3rd in points when the round of 12 started. A 2nd place finish at Atlanta got the round of 12 started off really well for me, however, missing last week's race in lieu of going to the ARCA/Truck race in KC pretty much mathematically eliminated me from the next round barring an absolute miracle. Sure enough, a 7th place finish out of 13 cars tonight was nowhere enough to even look like I had a chance to make it to the next round. Honestly extremely bummed at how this played out, especially considering I was damn near a lock for the top 8 if I made last weeks race and would've had a very good shot at making the championship 4. We all know Wheeler's gonna win, but at least having a shot would've made the sting of losing a bit better. Just not in the cards this season unfortunately

What. A. Night! Last night the Spooky Simulated Iracing League Ghost Cup Series took to Daytona for the 2nd time this year to round out the regular season. Qualified P8, which was a far cry from how I qualified back in February (p3, but missed the pole by 0.003). Finished the first stage in 3rd after running at or near the front all stage. The second stage got hairy though. Almost got turned around in front of the field by Chris Tate and then a few laps later got involved in a wreck in the tri-oval. Only a bit over a minute of damage and a new bumper later, the car still drove fine and we went back green with 6 to go in the stage. I started 13th and found myself in the lead 4 laps later, What could've been an amazing race for the stage win ended under caution just after Austin Wheeler and myself crossed the line with 3 to go in the stage and he barely won the stage by a foot or two. Started stage 3 in 8th place after some shuffling around during pit stops and we went the last 60 laps under green. I quickly made my way to the lead again and got shuffled back after a few laps, however, I did not drop back out of the top 5 for the rest of the race except during green flag stops, which we had 2 of. Unfortunately my teammates and I got separated early in the stage, but with the help of Tate, I was able to pit with the lead pack and remained within striking distance. A few laps after the 2nd stop, I had a good enough run to take the lead and never looked back, leading the last 13 laps, including the final one for the first time in over a year! I've been so, so close so many times at super speedways and just have not had luck ever go my way, so it was unbelievable to finally get done!
