A lot of us helping a little bit each adds up!

Hello Helpful Community,
We are having our 2nd Annual Dignity Drive, I wanted to thank you again for your generous donations last year, it made a wonderful impact. The Dignity Drive is going on now through 2/7/25. This is our time as a community to provide much needed personal hygiene products for youth in need throughout our area. Last year we were able to provide much needed items to the School Success Program at Thunder Bay Jr. High School and Alpena High School as well as donating to the Foster Care Closet of Northern Michigan, which were all grateful for the commitment of our community to children in need.
Personal hygiene is a basic human need. Many homeless and low-income children do not have the hygiene products they need for self-care. This causes many problems such as social rejection, illnesses and missed days of school. Help us provide children in our area with basic needs by dropping off items at Star Staffing Alpena, 537 W. Chisholm Street, Suite 100, Monday - Friday from 8am - 4pm, or call 989-356-2999 for pick up arrangements.
Items are needed for both boys and girls. No razors please. Here is a list of suggested items:
Feminine hygiene products
Deodorant
Body spray
String bags or ditty bags
Body or hand lotion
ChapStick
Soap
Shampoo and conditioner
Toothpaste
Toothbrushes
