Fugees rapper has officially been found guilty on all counts in his federal trial for criminal conspiracy charges.

The verdict was handed down in federal court in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday (April 26).

According to CNN, the former Fugees artist was found guilty on 10 counts, including conspiracy to defraud the US, witness tampering and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

“We are extremely disappointed in that result but are very, very confident in the ultimate outcome of this case,” Pras’ attorney, David Kenner, told reporters. “If we do move to a sentencing hearing I remain very confident we will certainly appeal this case. This is not over.”
A sentencing date has yet to be set.

J has been ordered to return Evans’ “stolen” Mercedes-Benz as the pair’s long drawn-out divorce battle begins to gain traction.

In the latest court documents obtained by Radar Online, the ex-Love & Hip Hop star was ordered to turn over his estranged wife’s vehicle after she claimed he stole it in order to drive to Coachella.

Faith Evans filed an emergency motion to have the car a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter Van returned as she purchased it this year with her own money.

The incident in question allegedly transpired on April 12 after Evans went to bed, at which point Stevie took the keys and drove away with the vehicle, she claimed.

Evans said she followed up with Stevie and asked him to return the vehicle, but he declined.

She added in the docs that she had previously filed a police report reporting the vehicle stolen on April 12, which the court granted and ordered the car to be returned immediately.

Faith Evans also asked the court to intervene to make sure Stevie J couldn’t drive the van as well as her other vehicles, including a 2020 Mercedes G Wagon and Chrysler Pacifica.

Lanez has penned an open letter to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, claiming that he’s innocent of shooting Thee Stallion and that he’s been “illegally” convicted.

On Friday (April 21), the incarcerated singer took to Instagram to share the lengthy statement, which he directed at Gascon.

“I write this message with the utmost humility, love, and respect for the remarkable stance you’ve taken in regards to fighting for the justice of Black and brown minorities,” he began. “Today I take a stance as an innocent Black man, wrongfully convicted of a crime I did not commit.
“I’ve watched 2 district attorneys from your office by the names of Ta and Bott unlawfully misuse their authority to hide and suppress any and all exculpatory evidence that exonerates me, or furthers my innocence. I was completely robbed and deprived of a fair trial.”

Lanez went on to claim that he was fighting for his innocence for the benefit of his family, his friends, and his six-year-old child. He also claimed that the prosecution painted a “false narrative” of the events leading up to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, and that he was left with “no choice but to expose, and make aware, the practices, the behind door deals, and the unjust system used to illegally convict me and other minorities.”

-One has found his own way to give back to Hip Hop, by launching an in-person series and website for its 50th anniversary.

The Boogie Down Productions rapper recently launched Birthplaceofhiphop.nyc, a website and event series featuring several community-based programs, including a Hip Hop masterclass curated and hosted by the Bronx lyricist and historian.

All events will take place at the Community Center at 1520 Sedgwick Ave starting on August 11. Known as “the birthplace of Hip Hop,” the address played a significant role in Hip Hop’s early history as it was home to DJ Kool Herc’s Back To School Jam in August 1973.

There will also be pop-up exhibits to showcase and celebrate the genre’s origins, according to a recent press release.

has found himself in some hot water, as he’s being sued over a sample he used on his seventh studio album, Honestly, Nevermind.

According to , Ghanaian artist took legal action against Drizzy on Tuesday (April 18) through the U.S. District Court southern district of New York over a sample the Toronto rapper used on the track “Calling My Name.”

Obrafour claims the song contains an unauthorized sample from one of his works.

At the 53-second mark of Drake’s version of that track, a vocalist can be heard saying “Killer cut, blood, killer cut,” which the Ghanaian artist claims is a line from his 2003 remix of “Oye Ohene.”

The lawsuit states that Obrafour is seeking a minimum of $10million in damages.

Along with Drake, the lawsuit names a whole host of co-defendants, including Drizzy’s record company OVO, Republic Records, its owner, Universal Music Group (UMG), among others.

Boy’s ex-girlfriend has testified about the alleged abuse she suffered at the rapper’s hands in 2019, showcasing photos of her injuries.

Meyers sued the rapper over an alleged attack she experienced at a party in February 2019.

She later filed a lawsuit against Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) and his assistant Tevin Anderson for sexual battery.

The alleged assault and kidnapping occurred at the rapper’s Malibu home and reportedly lasted for six hours.

As Myers was leaving, an argument ensued between her and one of Soulja’s assistant.

As mentioned in the lawsuit, Myers claims she was knocked to the ground and kicked in the stomach.

She also alleges Soulja told her she was going to die as he held a “large” gun to her head.

Foxx has been hospitalized after suffering a “medical complication,” although the actor is already on the mend.

The Academy Award-winner’s daughter, Foxx, issued a statement late Wednesday (April 12) announcing that her father had experienced a health scare on Tuesday (April 11).

While she didn’t share any more details about his health issue, TMZ reported that Foxx’s condition was serious enough that he had to be taken to hospital.

Fortunately, Corinne added that her father is “already on his way to recovery” thanks to “quick action and great care.” “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” her statement continued. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”

TMZ also reported that members of Foxx’s family visited him in hospital and the 55-year-old “is communicating now, and that’s good news.”
Foxx has yet to issue a statement himself.

Yachty has agreed to settle a lawsuit against a seller who allegedly used his name and likeness in order to make millions of dollars.

According to Stone, the lawsuit which was originally filed against the NFT platform in January 2023 for “trademark infringement” was settled Tuesday (April 11).

Despite not disclosing the exact terms of the settlement, the parties were given 45 days to “confirm the settlement in writing and file a dismissal of the action.”

Court documents obtained by RS read: “Of course, it is axiomatic that in order to offer the ownership interest to any musician’s copyrighted work, defendant, Opulous, must first have the agreement and consent of the musician at issue to sell the copyright to his or her work, with the musician in turn entitled to a share of the proceeds from the sale thereof.”

Savage’s alleged killer has been arrested in Houston and is currently being held on a $1million bond.

A report from ABC 13 revealed the suspect, 40-year-old Montrel Lenard Burley, turned himself in to the Harris County Joint Processing Center on Tuesday (April 11).

In a court appearance that immediately followed, Burley’s attorney requested bond be set at $20,000 – while the state requested he be held on no bond at all. Ultimately, the judge decided on the aforementioned $1million, noting that only a district court judge is able to deny bond and that would require a hearing.

In explaining why she set such a high amount, the judge said that a previous conviction for failing to appear in court while out on bail presents a flight risk.

She also added that the court is concerned because of the distance Burley allegedly traveled to kill BTB Savage, but his attorney argued that he’d since moved and was much closer to the location.

A missing tattoo artist has been found dead near where he was last seen nearly six months ago.

According to The New York Daily News and WestSideRag, Tolstoy's body was discovered April 3 behind a building at 39 W. 32nd St. in New York City.

He was found "with injuries indicative of falling from an elevated position," a spokesperson for the New York Police Department (NYPD) said.

Drexyll's mother Tolstoy told the Daily News that the 17-story commercial building is home to the tattoo parlor where her son worked prior to his death.

Jordan's home was reportedly broken into on Tuesday, and an 18-year-old man was arrested on the scene.

K. Hagedorn, 18, was arrested on the scene as officers arrived just after 4 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Lake and McHenry County Scanner reported. The Lake County Sheriff's Office also responded with canines.

Hagedorn was arrested and later booked at the Highland Park Police Department before being charged with three misdemeanors: one count of criminal trespass to occupied residence and two counts of criminal damage to property, per the outlet.

He has since been released on a recognizance bond, reported Daily Herald. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 20.

The former player Lee, 28, was arraigned on Tuesday for two incidents, one that occurred on Oct. 17, and another on Monday, according to the Franklin County Municipal Court.

Darron was taken into custody for allegedly assaulting his mother and his girlfriend, with whom he shares a 2-year-old son.

In both incidents, he was charged with misdemeanors of assault and domestic violence - knowingly causing physical harm.

There is also a temporary protective order in place for each incident.

His next court appearance is scheduled for April 27.

Trump becoming the first former U.S. president to be arraigned on criminal charges relating to a $130,000 hush-money payment allegedly made to adult film performer Stormy Daniels days before his 2016 election victory.

At 1:09 p.m. EST, Trump emerged from his residence and business headquarters at Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan.

He pumped his right fist in a gesture of defiance, then waved to the gathered crowd and press; a tuxedo-wearing Trump Tower doorman stood behind him, looking on in disbelief.

Trump made no remarks to reporters, as some had anticipated he would, as he made his way inside the courtroom, where only still cameras were permitted.

Electronic devices such as smart phones were also ordered off-limits.

Inside, Trump faced the 34 charges in the newly unsealed indictment, as detailed by Manhattan District Attorney Bragg, 49, who leads the investigation. Trump entered a plea of not guilty.

DiCaprio testified in federal court Monday morning as part of a trial involving international money laundering, bribery and a prominent rap artist.

“Pras” Michel a founding member of 1990s hip-hop group Fugees is accused of funneling money from a fugitive Malaysian financier through straw donors to Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign.

Five years later, prosecutors say he tried to squelch an investigation into that same financier under former President Trump’s administration.

At the heart of the case is Taek Jho, usually known as Low.

He is accused of masterminding an international money laundering and bribery scheme that stole billions from the Malaysian state investment fund known as 1MDB.

Priyanka opened up on Monday's episode of the Expert podcast about how she "felt such freedom" when she froze her eggs.

"I did it in my early 30s. I could continue on an ambitious warpath that I wanted to achieve. I wanted to get to a certain place in my career," she shared. "I also hadn't met the person I wanted to have children with or I didn't see that. That's anxiety-inducing. I was 35, and my mom's an OB-GYN who's like, '36 — Just do it.' "

"I tell everyone to freeze their eggs. My mom had said to do it as many times as you need to me, and I did do it for myself as well," she added.

Though she noted how expensive it is, she advised those who want kids to save up for the procedure and "do it anytime, and you can do it multiple times."

Following his arrest Saturday, Majors' two existing ads were pulled until the investigation into assault allegations is complete, according to an Army spokesperson. The actor's lawyer has said he "is completely innocent."

The U.S. Army will run ads this Saturday during the Final Four Tournament using existing footage from older commercials and unused material from the new Be All You Can Be campaign instead of featuring actor Majors.

A day after the III actor was arrested last weekend for allegedly assaulting a woman in New York, the Army announced that it would be pulling ads from its new campaign aimed at enlisting Gen Z. Majors’ rep has said he is “completely innocent.”
Although other ads from the Majors-led campaign will be postponed, the repurposed ads will help ensure the Army avoids losses in its planned $70 million advertising buy.
