Lunar_ Silver Star Harmony (Longplay) PSP 2009 [Part 1]

This was such an amazing game for me as a child that I tried to play though a remastered version on the PSP recently. While the game looks and plays beautiful, they removed the over world and it feels like less of a game now. I may fire up the PSX version instead. What do you guys think? From the Wiki: The story of Lunar: Silver Star Harmony is identical to Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, with the exception of an additional short playable prologue featuring the original Four Heroes (Dragonmaster Dyne, Ghaleon, Mel D'Alkirk and Lemia Ausa) and their final fight against dark wizard Eiphel and his allies, the Five Princes of the Black Star, who have abducted the previous incarnation of the Goddess Althena. Lunar: Silver Star Harmony is a traditional, top-down role-playing video game featuring two-dimensional character and background graphics. While it retains the animated cutscenes from Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, it features a new isometric view, a hand-drawn style for the characters and backgrounds, a more talkative lead character, a remixed soundtrack, new voice-acting and a new English localization. The gameplay itself remains the same, although it incorporates improvements from Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete as well as ultimate attacks akin of Final Fantasy VII's Limit Breaks.

Oriental legend [arcade] 1997 (Long play)

So this is by far the worst game I've ever played in my life. Don't even watch this, just go watch something else. The game, developed by IGS, was incredibly long and glitchy. the characters appeared well thought out, outside of them I can't say anything positive about the game. I am however hopeful for its sequel, released 10 years later, which I will be playing in its entirety sometime this week.

Alien vs Predator [Arcade] playthrough

San Drad, California, has been overrun by the Aliens, and the cybernetically-enhanced Major Dutch Schaefer and Lieutenant Linn Kurosawa have been abandoned by their superiors and are cornered by a swarm of the Alien drones. Before they can be killed, a pair of the Predators appear and destroy the Aliens. The Predators offer an alliance with the two humans in order to stop the Alien infestation. The players take control of up to three of four characters: Dutch, Linn, a Predator hunter, and a Predator warrior, and battle the Aliens through several environments. In the process, the characters discover that the Alien presence on Earth is the result of an experiment headed by a renegade General Bush of the U.S. Colonial Marines in conjunction with the Weyland-Yutani corporation. They destroy the Alien hive by crashing a military ship into San Drad, causing a huge explosion. The Predator warrior then gives his wrist blades to Dutch and Linn in recognition of their skills as warriors, before the Predators depart back into space.

Better find the weapons and food quickly because you will need them to fight the Witch Doctor's spiders, snakes, bats and demons. The Evil Witch Doctor has set lots of traps for you before you can face him one on one. Are you up for the challenge?! Can you live through Adventure Island to save Princess Leilani?!

Disney's Aladdin {longplay} 1993 - SNES

Disney's Aladdin is based on the 1992 Disney animated film. For the GBA and the SNES editions development was handled by Capcom. Like other versions, the game is a side-scrolling platformer where the player controls Aladdin through locations from the movie like the city of Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders, and Jafar's palace. Some locations not appearing in the film include a trippy, candy-colored world inside the Genie's lamp and an ancient pyramid. Enemies standing in Aladdin's way include the Sultan's guards, animals and various magical creatures. They can be dispatched by jumping on top of them or by throwing apples at them. Besides jumping and throwing, another one of Aladdin's abilities consists of him pulling out a blanket and using it to slow his fall. Besides the platform levels, the game also includes magic carpet rides as well as a bonus game played between levels: if Aladdin collects a golden scarab in a level, he can play a wheel of fortune for extra health, lives or continues.

The area also known as Sky Land is the world that has been conquered by Roy Koopa. It is divided into two parts: a ground part and a sky part. The player begins on the ground. The most notable feature of this area is the possibility to gain the Kuribo's Shoe, an item that can be obtained in World 5-3 only. After clearing the levels on the ground, the player can reach a spiraling tower that reaches up to the sky. The main part of the level is located here, and there are also some creatures exclusively to this realm, namely the Para-Beetle in World 5-6. Other enemies commonly found in the Sky Land include Fire Chomps, Buster Beetles, and Lakitus. After clearing the tower that serves as a link between the two areas, the player can go back to the ground, but they will have to clear the tower again on their way up. If Roy Koopa isn't defeated at the first try, his Airship will be able to move freely between sky and ground. There are nine levels in total, three Spade Panels, three Hammer Bros., three Toad Houses, and two Fortresses. Seven of the nine levels are required to get to the Palace. The palace is on the southwest part of the sky part.

Also known as Pipe Maze, Pipe Land is a series of small islands in a network of confusing pipes. The fourth stage is an underwater level with spiked Cheep-Cheeps, some Big Berthas, and three Blooper Nannies, Piranha Plants and Venus Fire Traps are also common enemies here. Prince Ludwig von Koopa attacked the Pipe Maze king and turned him into a goldenrod Venus Fire Trap. The country itself consists of nine levels (of which seven of them need to be cleared before reaching the palace), three Spade Panels, two Fortresses, two Nipper Plant Levels, and three Toad Houses. The palace is located in southeastern Pipe Land by the sea. If not defeated, Ludwig's airship will fly from one island to another, since the anchor is required to stop it.

Desert Hill (also known as Desert Land or the Koopahari Desert) is the second world of the game. It is a region within a vast desert, filled with sand, palm trees, and some pyramids. A fortress is located in the west part of the desert, and a quicksand field can also be found, as well as a great pyramid that the player needs to traverse in order to reach the king's palace. The king was attacked by Morton Koopa Jr., who turned him into a spider (or a Hoopster from Super Mario Bros. 2 in the remake). The world features two Spade Panels and three Toad Houses, of which one lies in a secret area behind a rock that needs to be crushed by a Hammer. It contains a Warp Whistle guarded by two Fire Bro. Four of the five levels need to be cleared to get to the great pyramid and the palace. Desert Hill houses many desert-related creatures like Fire Snakes and the very rare Angry Sun.
