I formed this page over a yr ago. I formed it because I love this city. I was getting involved with a local fb page that has over 20k followers. I didnt really get too involved, as I started getting really busy with my job, and at the same time, they were not covering things in my area of the city. With that said, what would you like to see from this page?? I got different things I want to do, but what would people want to see??
Let me know!

A couple weeks ago Sean McDonnell published an article in the Akron Beacon Journal that touched on the eviction crisis in Akron. Data from Evictions Lab, a research program at Princeton University concluded that the eviction rate in Akron was 6.06 percent. That's 6 households for every 100 households. That is the highest in the state.
In an interview with Lauren Green-Hull , the associate director of fair housing contact service in Akron, states that 48 percent of evictions are due to high rent and scarce social resources. Many of this 48 percent are one negative situation from not being able to pay their rent. Meaning, if Ron needs to get a full brake job ( pads, rotors, calipers) he might be heavy short on his rent for that month. A hard working man has to make tough decision.

What about the other 52 percent?
There are many of factors.
Let's talk about it.
