Hey all..Let's talk a little about me(as a DJ/Company).... I was raised around music all my life. My mother was a singer/Bass player in a band since I can remember and I learned to know and love all kinds of music because of that experience. When I was around 13 I started using a Mixing/Sound board for my mothers band and learned a lot about sound and equipment which I believe set me up for taking on a band of my own when I was just 19 ..we traveled locally in San Diego to various clubs/bars for a couple of years. Not long after that..I started my family. This meant I had to put my passion for music on hold for awhile. In 2005 I started toying with the idea of starting my own Mobile DJ business. Now I had only messed around on friend's DJ set-ups here and there in my past..but I always knew I wanted to do that more. So after researching I decided to go for it and bought some equipment in 2006 and after some brief training I picked it up with ease and started my own business in 2007 "Warren Kelly Productions". Why the name "Warren Kelly" you say? My grandfather's first name was "Warren" and it was also my middle name. He was my inspiration in a business aspect because he was such a successful business man. So I just flip-flopped my name "Kelly" and my middle name "Warren" and got my business licensed. After doing mobil gigs for awhile I decided to also start doing Club/bars and that really gave me some experience and I also got to know a lot of other DJ's in the industry. From 2008-2010 I did Clubs and bars mostly local(Temecula/Murrieta) but also in LA and Riverside from time to time. Then in 2010 I took a year off just to refocus. When I came back to the scene in 2011 I renamed myself "Dub Uk"..it was just a play on words from my original name "Warren Kelly"..people always shortened my name to "WK" so I made it "Dub Uk". Then I started to get real tired of the scene again...I just had to many convictions about playing in this scene being a christian and a family man. So after only about a year back in the scene I just quit doing anything DJ related and sold all of my equipment accept my main decks. After taking that time off to reflect and find my place as a DJ..I got back into making mixes and posting them on my site...Then slowly started getting back into doing mobil gigs like Weddings, Parties and special events. “Flashback” & “Old school” music are by far my favorite genre’s to mix and I know them well....My library of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s music is extensive and deep. I consider myself an expert in 80’s music. Some refer to me as..”That 80’s DJ”...and recently I’ve started doing Video...I bring MTV from the 80’s and 90’s to your party..EPIC right?! But this is not my preferred zone to spin and my library is limited here as I typically don’t keep up with most of the newer music.
