When I think of Abilene, I think of Larry’s Better Burger Drive In’s mouthwatering burgers. But I also think of a family business that means more to the community than the delicious food they have sold for over 58 years.
When I think of Abilene, I think of a family owned repair shop called Outlaw Automotive, and their owner John Lenamon who treats the mechanics and office manager more like family than employees.
When I think of Abilene, I think of Oscar's Mexican Restaurants sizzling Mexican food but I also think about the restaurant owners and employees who continue to keep Oscar Abila’s legacy alive, after the owner passed away in 2021.
When I think of Abilene, I think of Abilene Auto Spa’s Leslie Sepeda who had to overcome many obstacles when she first opened the auto care center but now her business continues to grow every year because of her perseverance.
When I think of Abilene I think of Torres Auto Glass owner Ernest Torres. Who decided to start his business after getting injured at his job but he now has a staff of employees who thrive under his leadership.
