If I could give one piece of advice to a mama who’s going through a stressful week is to SIMPLIFY your life, and that includes your meals!

Heres a few ways you can do that
1. Meal plan
2. Keep the meals SIMPLE
3. Be okay with repeating meals
4. If you know it’ll be a BUSY week, order a meal subscription or meal kit box.

I’ve been trying Hungryroot for a couple of months, and what stands out to me the most is the meals are QUICK, HEALTHY, AND FAMILY FRIENDLY!
Not only does this come with meals, but lots of snacks, groceries, lunch, and breakfast options.

It used to not be that way.
I used to have this URGE to want to clean or be constantly productive.
I loved having the “busy” badge of honor

As I simplified life, slowed down, and worked through regulating my nervous system, I learned that it was a trauma response.
I was constantly on survival.

I’ve learned to implement systems. I follow my quick tidy (up to 10 mins) and the rest can wait.

At the beginning of the year I set a goal of walking 1,000 miles for the year, so I figured that it was the perfect time to get this walking pad, and get some steps during the kids nap time or first thing in the morning or both.

Moving our bodies even a little is so beneficial in many ways

Comment “WALKER” and I can send you a link to my walking pad

If you’re having trouble letting go, it ISNT your fault 🤍
You are learning how to do it
(Maybe a reason why you probably landed on here. If so, follow along ❤️)

I love to give and see all the decluttering tips, but we need to dig in a bit deeper than “start with this, 30 day challenge, do the kitchen first, donate this, trash this, you need this many x”

All of these are GREAT, but if you’re still having trouble, we need to dig in deeper

Letting go of things for many of us is facing trauma (even if it’s subconsciously)

So, what did I personally do to help me with this?
1. Got real with myself. WHY can’t I let go of that one shirt that I haven’t worn in 5 years? It’s not just “I already spent the money”… was it because you didn’t have money growing up? Remind yourself you are SAFE and think of what life would look like without that item (if you don’t use it)

2. Journaling - goes hand in hand with # 1.

3. Learning about nervous system regulation - this one was huge. I was able to learn what was causing me to be on a constant state of fight and flight mode 🤍 (knowing the why I couldn’t let go of certain things)
Decluttering is a nervous system regulation technique

4. Allowing myself to feel the emotions with certain items (like crying over clothes my babies no longer wore, sentimental items, stuff that brought back memories)

Hope you find this helpful, and if you did, stick around for more tips on how to declutter and simplify life 🤍

Burn out is not fun… 🫠
I’ve been the mom who has thrown the towel more than once because I wasn’t taking care of myself and environment. I was depleted and I thought all I had to do was give give give.
Pair that with PPA, PPD, and adhd 😵 💀 umm a complete TRAIN WRECK….

One day I said ENOUGH and I made changes.
If you’re new, I purged and decluttered my belongings by half (on top of us downsizing later). I started implementing small habits which at first seemed IMPOSSIBLE, and now are second nature.

These habits allow me to eliminate decision fatigue, streamline my day, be more productive and proactive as a mom ❤️

Comment HABITS and I’ll send you my simple but mighty toolbox home management planner with templates, habits, cleaning schedule and more
