AN UPDATE ABOUT THE COURT

Yesterday Friday, November 29, 2023 was the reporting day for the 3 people who were arrested and released on Court Bail i.e. Onencan Handrew, Acila Martin and Betty Ocwee about Balalo.

Unfortunately Or not the Chief Magistrate was not around, we all know that all the government offices are off for Christmas break!

So the court reporting scheduled for Dec 29th, 2023, was postponed to February 2nd, 2024 next Year. Gratitude is extended to the efforts of the Legal Teams, Sureties, the accused for their Compliance during this process, and above all Acoli for Unity and Support! We don't take each and everyone's efforts in this cause for Granted.

MESSAGE TO THE GOVERNMENT

The Acholi tribe stands united in the fight to protect our ancestral land. We demand that the government cease land grabbing immediately.

Our resilience is unwavering, and we will persist until our rights are acknowledged and respected. As a sound mind youth, I will not watch our heritage just go in a useless way like that. Where will our children be, grandchildren live tomorrow?

We are determined to protect our ancestral land, and we call on the government to cease any actions of land grabbing, unlawfully arrest of people implementing presidential order, if UPDF are still waiting for resources, it's Okay!
The local acholi Communities have got all the resources needed to help UPDF evicting Balalo from our land.

You May Kill us but cannot kill all of us, You can kidnap us but you will never kidnap all the Acholis. Arrest few of us but the majorities are Outside to defend our land.

This is new ACHOLI ✊.

Our ANCESTRAL Land is Not For Sale 🚫.

BALALO MUST GO STORY ~ PART 3

Same Monday 27th/November/2023, Twelve 12 people out of 17 were brought to Court, the state attorney said she needs more time to check the documents, therefore; she requested chief magistrate to give her one week, but it a complete nonsense not only to the Chief magistrate but to everyone inside the Court room.
So the chief magistrate gave her only one night the following day Tuesday 28th/November/2023 they returned to Court and granted bail of none cash 5 million each for the accused and 10 million each for sureties.

Remember I said 17 were arrested but only 12 were produced in court, we also had a similar question for where the 5 people were, after the court immediately we drove to all police outposts within the city to search for our 5 people.

At last we found them in Lacor Outpost and released them on Monday at 10:49pm in the night with Hon Gilbert Olanya! Thank you Hon Gilbert Olanya!

We thank each and everyone who supported us in any way, MPs, Local Leaders, Rwot, Activists, Media Houses and above all the Communities who turn up in large numbers thank you so much!

BALALO MUST GO STORY ~ PART 2.

Because of pressure, they transferred the 17 arrested from Barracks to Gulu Central Police Station in Gulu City. These people spent 5 days without trial in the court which constitutionally is Crime we should sue the government again for not producing them in court within required time as the constitution state!
Monday 27th/November/2023 they were produced in court, we had to Demonstrate for Freedom for our brothers and sister who were arrested. We marched from Gulu Main Market to Gulu Central Police Station to show the world the evil plans The government is paying back Acholi after giving them 60% of our votes.

Our voices were heard, we attracted attention of all the Local, National and International Media Houses were present.

BALALO MUST GO STORY ~ PART 1.

On the 22nd/November/2023, Seventeen (17) Acholi were arrested for checking if Balalo had fenced their land like the presidential executive order stated.

Unfortunately the team from UPDF came without understanding things and just unlawfully arrested them, drove them to the barracks, with intentions of disappearing with them forever, but when we released videos and pictures, they were scared because the entire acholi, Uganda and the world was watching.
