This original concept reimagines and creates an African World with no much influence from the rest of the world. HD Universe is a fictional afrofuturism comics world based on African characters presenting modern and traditional stories. The creative team train young people in Writing and Producing Films and Tv Series that tell HD AfroUniverse Stories
we center all the stories around a powerful
African Kingdom called Alkebulan. It was never colonized, and the people were never influenced by foreign cultures. This kingdom is located along the Nile River beginning at the Source of the Nile in East Africa all the way downstream to Egypt. We are demonstrating what Africa would be like if they were never colonized or transported as slaves to other parts of the world. We lay emphasis on the importance of the African authenticity, the Spirituality, the moral values and the dignity of Africans by illustrating afrofuturistically all this in different events that are happening in Alkebulan. The stories from the HD AfroUniverse aim at empowering the next generation of Africans to be able to see Africa as equal to the rest of the World. We deliberately re-writing the African narrative by:
- Telling Stories in the point of view of a African with a decolonized mindset
- Portraying Africa through strong, powerful characters in order to make the world understand the real Africa and its power
- Changing the image of Africa as perceived by the world into a new Africa that the world needs to know.
