Shock and tears at Namisindwa district after a 24 year old youth died while competing to complete 40 bottles of Kenyan brand waragi commonly known as Kakasa Kumbucha drink.

The deceased is identified as Rober Welikhe a resident of Sikhendu village Sikhendu parish Bukiabi sub county in Namisindwa district.
According to Michael Koyi an eye witness said the competition was organised by Augustus Wete one of the tycoons at River side trading centre at Bukiabi Sub County.

He also said that Wete staged 10,000/= for whoever could finish 40 bottles of Kakasa Kumbucha drink which attracted Welikhe the deceased to be involved since he is known as a waragi drinker in the area.
Koyi also said that when Welikhe reached 24, he collapsed and foam starting coming out from his nose and mouth and died while being rushed to Lwakhakha for treatment,
Nicolas Soita the LCIII chairperson of Bukiabi Sub County has confirmed the incident saying they are hunting people who were in the arrangement of the competition.

By press time angry locals had abandoned the dead body at the home of Wete the organizer of competition.
