The Traffic police working together with FFU and the Military Police will extend the operation against use of illegal sirens and flashlights to the highways.
Therefore, we have given one day to the following categories of vehicles to rectify their lights and sirens before their vehicles are impounded.
a) Lorries and buses with extra lights that hinder visibility at night are ordered to remove them with immediate effect before their vehicles are impounded and handed over to the iov.
b) All those vehicles that belong to funeral services should remove the sirens and roof lights immediately because they are not catered for by law to have a right of way.
