Govt spends shs5bn on Covid-19 as Ministry require more money

Government of Uganda has so far spent shs 5 billion in the ongoing medical intervention against the spread of Corona virus. This expenditure is for the period of three months since the announcement of this deadly Corona Virus whose impact has by far become a global concern.

According to Dr. Henry Mwebasa, the Director General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health, the cumulative shs 5 billion was sent to other referral hospitals spread across the country.

“This money helped in procuring different required health related materials which are crucial in the fight against Corona virus,” clarified Mwebesa
