NNASAASIRWA (I was shown mercy) is a Ugandan Christian song by the exceptionally gifted LILLIAN NAKAYIZA & RODGERS SSAMULA.
It was written by Mwesimbu SKY BANGI during the Ugandan lockdown on 25th April 2020.
It reflects on the great mercy of God and the ultimate penalty for our sin - that His Son Jesus took upon Himself to ransom us by His redemptive sacrificial death on the Cross, thus saving us from utter damnation; the challenges of day to day life that testifies to His unfailing faithfulness in seeing us through the same are also a major highlight.
May it profoundly minister to you in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

NNASAASIRWA (I was shown mercy)
Wendi lwakuba wooli Yesu wange
(I am here because You are my Jesus)
Omusasizi wange kyenva neyagala
(My Merciful God It's why I rejoice)
Ekisakyo ekyo kye kyandokola
(It's your Grace that redeemed me)
Nenfuna eddembe, essuubi n’obulamu
(I got freedom, hope and life)
Nkwebaza gwe Katonda wange,
(I thank you my God)
Singa nafa nga nabulira ddala
(I would be dead and utterly lost)
Naye omusaayigwo, gwegwanunula
(But your blood, redeemed me)
Mwenazawulwa era nentukula
(Therein I was restored and cleansed)
Webale Yesu wafa ne mpona,
(Thank You Jesus You died and I was saved)
Ku Musalaba byonna wabimaliriza
(On the Crossed it was finished)
Chorus
Bwentunulira obulamu buno gyompisiza,
(When I introspect about this life and all you've brought me through)
Entalo z'olwanye, n’ebizibu by’ompanguzza
(The battles you have fought and the hardships you've seen me through)
Tonjabulidde tondese kyenva nkwebaza,
(You have not forsaken nor left me, I thus thank you)
Kati manyidde ddala nti kubwa Yesu,
(Now I am conviced it's for Jesus)
Mazima nnasaasirwa
(That I was truly shown mercy)
Olugendo lwali luwanvu
(The journey was long)
Omusalaba gwali munene,
(The Cross was huge)
Omubirigwo, gwabetentebwa oh oo
(Your body, was smitten)
Omusayi n’oguyiwa gwe
(Your blood You poured)
Kulwange wewaayo n'ofa
(For my sake you offered yourself and died)
Nkwebaza Taata webale
(I thank You Father thank You)
