The construction of Ibanda municipality headquarters at Nyabuhikye Subcounty may end in tears.

Information reaching our desk indicate that;

1: Materials were put on site without the knowledge of municipality engeneer and political leadership of the municipality.

2: The materials that were delivered on site were not recorded any where.

3: Materials that were delivered are not worth the money indicated in the costed plan.

Just watched news that Ibanda district and Ibanda municipality have failed to take part in the Ankole region primary schools music dance and drama competitions.

In a similar manner, Ibanda failed to organise district sports competitions for football, netball, volleyball and athletics. What is wrong with the education department at the district? I see that someone *incompetent* is sitting somewhere doing a lot of nothing.

Not every student in school will survive because of academic excellence. We also need talent development.
The in charge should resign immediately.

Ibanda Municipality Staffs on the edge of COVID-19 Catastrophe as the 47m Meant for COVID19 intervention was Diverted!

Government recently sent 47m to Ibanda Municipality. According to Guidelines from the Health Ministry,the amount was meant to strictly be spent on approaches to control COVID 19 spread in the area.

Our reliable sources confirm that when funds came, at Municipality Offices, it was spent as follows.

A big %ge was spent on purchase of furniture for different offices.

Another fund was spent on purchase of tiles for the Mayor's and Town clerk Offices.
Apparently, there is no any SOPs at municipality. No sanitizers in different offices and so far two senior staffs are battling with the pandemic. No temperature gun and just like that, 47m COVID19 fund was spent!

Now some staffs are even scared how they will continue to work amidist these prevailing Conditions.

The Kijongo based debutants *Kiryabishoro AquaparkFC* proceed to quarter finals stage of the inaugural Sportrise Cup after edging out Group A favourites Rushango Dynamics and Kiburara Prisons.
*Kiryabishoro AP* aka *Beast Maulers* will now in the Quarter finals, face the regional league based club *Rwampara Bulls* formerly *Future Options* .

The *Beast Maulers* of *Kiryabishoro Aquapark* is the only team from Ibanda North Constituency that is advancing to Quarter final stage.

The *Kiryabishoro AP* fans, the could not hide their excitement after qualifying for the Quarter finals in their first ever competitive tournament. Commenting on one of the Ibanda Development Community based online fora, most fans pledged to do whatever it takes to support the new team on the block. Commenting on the Ibanda Development forum, *Rev Stephen Muhanguzi Kashesya* of Kijongo COU Parish could not hide his excitement and support as well for his homebased team

*Sportrise* the organisers of the *Sportrise Cup 2021* are the only soccer balls manufacturing company in Uganda based in Ibanda District.

Allan Mateeka was this morning found in a pool of blood, his face full of deep cuts in his rented house in Rwentuha, Bushenyi district.
