Prophet jailed 40 years for defiling, infecting 17-year-old with HIV

A born-again “prophet,” has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for impregnating a 17-year-old girl with whom he fathered twins and infected her with HIV.

Prophet Elijah James Kimera, 35, of Faith Centre Church of All Nations at Lusanja in Wakiso has been sentenced by High Court Judge Margaret Mutonyi.

Prosecution’s key evidence revealed that the victim’s mother was a member of Prophet Elijah’s church who engaged in sexual relations with the church leader, resulting in the birth of two children.

The victim, then studying in senior three, was later introduced to the prophet for spiritual guidance and also became a choir member.

It is reported that Prophet Elijah had sexual in*******se with the victim in the car on the church compound during nighttime.

The court further heard that the abuse continued until the victim gave birth to twins, an act Justice Mutonyi termed an abomination in African culture to have children with both a mother and a daughter and treating them as co-wives.

The court condemned the prophet for being deceptive and manipulative by denying knowledge of the victim’s whereabouts until the court intervened to rescue her and the twins from the church.

According to Justice Mutonyi, it was only after these facts were exposed that the prophet admitted guilt and asked for forgiveness from both the court and Christ.

However, Justice Mutonyi stated that remorse after being exposed aims to manipulate the court into granting a lenient sentence. Even after being granted bail, Prophet Elijah continued cohabiting with the victim until she reached the age of majority a year ago.

The judge noted that courts have a duty to protect underage girls from sexual predators, as 70% of criminal cases listed involve aggravated defilement.

Justice Mutonyi emphasized that defilement at church is akin to defilement at home because pastors are seen as spiritual parents. In this particular case, relatives will endure trauma knowing that both mother and daughter were impregnated by the same man who, due to his reckless sexual behavior, infected them with a deadly disease.

Prophet Kimera has been informed that he has the right to appeal only the sentence but not the conviction because he pleaded guilty.

Why charge our mothers money whenever they come to deliver at the Hospital, yet the Government pays Health Workers, Hon Polycap asked

A little boy died at Pallisa General Hospital after the Doctor gave an Internee to Circumcise him. Why play around with People's health for your own Practicals? What is the use of Such a Doctor in the Hospital?
What is the use of the so called Supervisors in District?

The Hospital claims to have Oxygen yet Cylinders are empty.
Medicine at Pallisa General Hospital doesn't last for 3 weeks, where does the medicine go?

Hon. Polycap rejected Dr. Okoth's submission after he claimed the Scanning machine does some taskes but not all and questioned the staff to explain why patients are ever refered to do scan outside hospital yet they claim the Hospital scan machine operates..??

Ugandan School Shocks Parents By Including a Hen As One of the Students’ School Requirements.

As the new school term begins in Uganda, students are returning to their respective schools with the necessary supplies.

However, one Kabale school has caused quite a stir by requesting that new students bring a live chicken worth Ugx 20K.

This unexpected requirement has sparked controversy and confusion among parents and students alike.

Many are questioning the purpose of this unusual request, especially considering the economic challenges faced by many families

The school has yet to clarify whether the chicken is intended for educational purposes, egg production, or even consumption by the students.

Pallisa | Uganda.
Saudi Arabian Employer, Recruiting Agency speak out after Ugandan Born of Pallisa, working as a housemaid commits su***de.

Mrs. Aisha Muhammad Isa, a Saudi Arabian citizen where Josephine Agadi who committed su***de worked as a housemaid has spoken out, denying any contractual violations made against the deceased.

Agadi died at Pallisa Hospital last week after an attempted su***de at their home in Pallisa District.

Available details indicate that Agadi had been in Saudi Arabia since April 30, 2022, on a two-year contract.

She had worked as a housemaid at Mrs. Muhammad’s home in Saudi Arabia for 21 months before she requested to have her contract terminated and return to Uganda prematurely at the end of January 2024.

Mrs. Muhammad says that Agadi requested for termination of the contract and requested to be returned to Uganda but provided no reasons for the termination. Other sources say Agadi had initially complained of stress.

As per contract terms, Mrs. Muhammed says that she booked her a ticket to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda at the end of January, a copy of which this website has seen.

It was learnt that throughout her contract, Agadi was twice returned to the recruiting agency offices for counselling after misunderstandings with the employer over working terms.

“She failed to cooperate with madam as well as one of the daughters in the house,” written details on one of the complaints handling forms provided by the recruiting firm in Saudi Arabia show.

During the seventh month of her contract, Agadi had reported to the recruiting firm that her boss was “not appreciative, rude and tough.”

On investigating the matter, the firm found out that Agadi was a good worker but had little interest in dealing with elderly persons like her boss.

On that occasion, her employer requested the recruiting agency to guide Josephine before she continued with her contract. Details show this matter was handled and Josephine continued to work for a further 14 months on her contract.

Agadi didn’t report any physical violence incident against her, as per the complaint handling forms. This version has been corroborated by her father.

“She never complained of any physical abuse at the hands of her employer and she often sent us money,” her father, Mr. Simon Opio said on Wednesday.

Other misunderstandings between Agadi and her employer came up but were successfully mediated by the recruiting agency, according to forms seen.

Throughout her contract, the complaints that were received from her were all handled, and among them are the two when she was brought to the office [for counselling,” the firm said on Wednesday, January 7.

It added: “The ones that were received online were all handled still via phone calls with audio recordings available”.

Regarding her salary, the firm also provided payment slips confirming that Agadi’s salary had been cleared by the employer for all 21 months.

Travel details indicate that Agadi arrived safely at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda on January 30. This development has since been confirmed by airport authorities.

It is not immediately clear how Agadi traveled from Entebbe Airport to Ntinda Police Station. However, her father, Mr. Opio told this website that he received a distressed call from Police to go and receive his daughter.

“I told them that I was far in Paliisa District but I have some daughters in Kampala and I called them to go and pick her up,” Mr. Opio said.

“She was not well,” he said, adding: “After receiving her, we decided to take her to church for prayers, and after they brought her home [in Pallisa District]”.

Agadi passed on the following day after she was rushed to hospital following an attempted su***de using her sweater,” her father said.

speak out
Ntinda Police Station confirmed receiving Agadi on January 30th from an unidentified boda boda person who took her there with her luggage.

Police sources say she had a small bag that had money believed to be UGX 3.4 million but “unfortunately the big bag was taken by the same boda person who took her to the station”.

What is your Say...???? 😮

The Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) has taken action after Kitgum Woman MP Lillian Aber was photographed wearing military camouflage, raising concerns about how she obtained the uniform.

The photos, shared on social media, showed the legislator in military fatigues on Monday, February 5th, as she flagged off a cleaning exercise by uniformed personnel ahead of Terehe Sita celebrations in Kitgum District.

In response to the controversy, UPDF spokesperson Brigadier Gen. Felix Kulayigye announced that a soldier, whose identity was not disclosed, had been arrested for providing Aber with the uniform without authorization.

“We contacted the MP, and she has since apologized. Meanwhile, we launched investigations, and the soldier who gave her the uniform has been arrested,” Kulayigye informed journalists during an interview at Bugweri district headquarters in Busesa, where he was attending the UPDF 43rd Tarehe Sita anniversary celebrations.

The incident sparked debate on social media, with some users referencing Section 164 of the UPDF Act regarding unauthorized use of military uniforms.
