Good read👇🏾 copied though.

I was waiting in line for a ride at the airport in Dubai. When a cab pulled up, the first thing I noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for me.

He handed me a laminated card and said: 'I'm Abdullahi, your driver. While I'm loading your bags in the trunk I'd like you to read my mission statement.'

Taken aback, I read the card. It said: Abdullahis Mission Statement:
To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment.

This blew me away. Especially when I noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!

As he slid behind the wheel, Abdullahi said, 'Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.'

I said jokingly, 'No, I'd prefer a soft drink.'

Abdullahi smiled and said, 'No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, Lassi (savoury drink), water and orange juice.'

Almost stuttering, I said, 'I'll take a Lassi.'

Handing me my drink, Abdullahi said, 'If you'd like something to read, I have The Star and Sun Times today.'

As we were pulling away, Abdullahi handed me another laminated card, 'These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you'd like to listen to the radio.'

And as if that weren't enough, Abdullahi told me that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for me.

Then he advised me of the best route to my destination for that time of day. He also let me know that he'd be happy to chat and tell me about some of the sights or, if I preferred, to leave me with my own thoughts.

'Tell me, Abdullahi ,' I was amazed and asked him, 'have you always served customers like this?'

Abdullahi smiled into the rear view mirror. "No, not always. In fact, it's only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard about POWER OF CHOICE one day.

The Power of choice is that you can be a duck or an eagle.

'If you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you'll rarely disappoint yourself. Stop complaining!'

'Don't be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.'

'That hit me. really hard' said Abdullahi.

'It is about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle.

I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy.

So I decided to make some changes, slowly ... a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.'

'I take it that it has paid off for you,' I said.

'It sure has,' Abdullahi replied. 'My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I'll probably quadruple it.My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on it.'

Abdullahi made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like a duck and start soaring like an eagle.

Start becoming an eagle today ... one small step every week..next week... And next...And....

Thought for today…...

You don't die if you fall in water, you die only if you don't swim. That’s the Real Meaning of Life. Improve yourself and your skills in a different way.

Be an EAGLE.

By Henry Mutebe via Facebook

Someone asked me; Henry, why have you been quiet on policy issues? MPs are busy enjoying our money. What is your take?

My answer.
I have written, severally, that one of the problems of us Facebook people is that we underestimate the depth of illiteracy of our population. The problem with being on Facebook and being educated is that we suffer from what they called the curse of knowledge. You assume that everyone knows what you know and therefore they 'automatically get it'. My friend, you don't know our people.

Secondly, I have realised that I think I am the only person who was born in a village grew up in the village and so I have a good idea of how majority of people in villages make their political choices.

We are here talking about NSSF; how many people in the village know what that means OR even care?

You guys are here talking about increased taxes when many people in villages don't even know they pay taxes. Many dont understand at what point one pays the tax.

You are here talking about policies and macro economic policies, who understands those things of yours?

The ordinary man in the village has land given to him by his father. He has a slave called a woman who tills that land and when the harvest is ready, he sells the produce, takes the money, drinks alcohol and in some cases marries another wife using the money generated by his wife's labour.

You are talking about lost jobs! Hmmm. How many people in the village wake up to go to an office and work? The office is the garden and those offices are not closed. At least, for now, the people in villages are still working. Lost jobs and lockdown is a 'rich peoples' problem someone in the village recently told me.

The concerns of a an ordinary man in the village is s*x from his wife, his land and access to alcohol and a witch doctor. If you deny them those four, then a revolution can start.

Men in villages live like kings. They don't leave 'ezokukameza'. The woman has to look for food in the garden...and hunt for enva. Those things of leaving 10k mbu sente za kameza is kajanja of you, urban dwellers. The village woman feeds the man, offers s*x, takes for him water to the bathroom and even has to be there and watch over him as he is showering.

So many people who vote these MPs are completely in another world. They beg these MPs money. They are bought to vote, and indeed when MPs get to the Promised Land, it is time to pay themselves.

So, most times I am angry at these MPs but then I remember that they didn't take themselves to parliament. They were voted. Who voted them? Those people. Did they know what they were doing? I don't know. Should they pay for it? I don't know

As Facebook people, many of you don't know the depth of the crisis we are in, because of the quality of of our voters. Those MPs know just too well who matters. It's not us who write long pieces on Facebook and share within our circles on issues we already agree on.

Those MPs know who matters.
In fact, when you hear them talking, don't think they are talking to you Kampala urban dwellers. They are talking to the average villager who doesn't even know how he pays his taxes, who doesn't care what NSSF is or who has even never been to Kampala. Do you know that probably 75% of rural dwellers have never left their regions to any other?

Their view of life is so limited and you can't blame them. An MP that tells them that he or she will construct a road is the one they vote, as if MPs construct roads. The one who speaks more of the local languages anf has more proverbs is the one they call good.

The average person in the village doesn't understand what you guys are talking about. He doesn't watch NTV or NBS political show or listen to business news segments.

The average person likes Agataliko Nfufu where the report a person who gave birth to a frog or where two men are fighting for a woman or where the news is about two drunkards that organised a drinking competition.

That's why Agataaliko Nfufu has more viewers and Bukedde newspaper sells more than Daily Monitor and New Vision. The content people consume tells you a lot about that population

Many of our people are not able to process most of these things. They generally don't mind the status quo. In fact, for many, as long as they are seated on a malwa pot, they have no problem with anybody.

They are okay. The day you understand that Full Figure, Mama Fina, and others in that caliber have more power and influence than a professor at Makerere University, that's the day you will discover that we were born at the wrong time. The critical mass of our country are still raw; functionally illiterate and not exposed at all and they are the majority voters.

The day you will appreciate that concept, you will understand what I am talking about.

Sometimes, I wish those MPs can add themselves as much money as they want. Probably, sell us. To that point where the ordinary person will wake up and understand that his MP ought to represent him or her in a certain way. For now, those people are still comfortable and the MPs know that too well. So they will act with as much impunity as the voters can allow them.

So, what I am doing these days, is to dedicate some time to raising children and giving them
an opportunity to keep alive. Maybe. Just maybe, when we move on as the current generation. Maybe, these children will sort this country.

As of now, we need to go back to basics. Go to villages. Teach people how to write their names. How to load airtime. How to see a woman as a full human being. How to do basic things which we take for granted. These people voted those MPs. They laid their bed. It's time to sleep in it. Sadly, all of us feel the heat.

The problem is not MPs...the problem is the millions that vote those type of MPs. If you don't agree with me...go to your village and try to contest for any political office. That's the day you will discover that your father is a witch. He Bewitched other people's children so that you succeed. You took their blessings. That's the day you will know that your education is a problem. It's the day you will understand that the truth never wins you an election in a village.

We don't have a critical mass of people to vote a value laden parliament.

Our society is still raw and was just picked from another political civilisation into a democratic political civilisation. We don't have the social software to generate a good parliament. So, I am not sure if I should burden myself with discussing MPs.

Everyday, I only cry at the quality of our population.

RESPONSE TO PASTOR BUGINGO'S ATTACK ON THE CHURCH AND MARRIAGE AS A LIFETIME INSTITUTION

Pastor Bugingo has made a declaration that the phrase 'till death do us part' is not biblical, and that it is from Satan! In so doing, the pastor attacks the Roman Catholic, Anglican and Pentecostal Churches, associating them with what he calls a practice from Satan.

I can't believe that these words are from someone who claims to be a pastor! Nonetheless, I'm not surprised that he is making such a statement after divorcing his wife on grounds of a sickness!

Bugingo claims that he has read the Bible a number of times he is not even able to count! That in itself is an interesting claim, which I wish he were humble enough not to associate himself with. Even if it was true that he has read the Bible countless times, it would be prudent for him to know that it is one thing to read even several times, but another to understand.

He states that no where does the Bible say that the married should not separate. Remember that the Bible is God's holy, infallible, and innerant word, some versions of which he once set ablaze on an Easter Monday, claiming that they were deceptive!

Of course, for this particular statement and others of similar nature he has been making, one underlying and obvious factor, which is having a significant influence on his judgement, is his divorce, the possibility of other forms of conditioning notwithstanding. His yearning soul is in a desperate need for justification over his prejudiced separation with his bona fide wife, which, because he cannot get it by virtue of moral objectivity, he is deliberately misinterpreting the Bible, so he can justify his act - if it were possible.

Also, it is so disheartening that Bugingo is taking advantage of the innocence of those that attend him, some of whom have been blinded and/or brainwashed by his heretical eloquence that finds solace in a theological vacuum that he himself has created and made them victims of.

Let us now zoom in on the issue at hand and do a theological analysis of his claims, basing on the Bible, of which, deriving from his utterance, he is a prolific student and a voracious reader.

1. Does the Bible he has read countless times have the following verses: Rom. 7:2-3; Mal. 2:13-16; Heb. 13:4; Mat. 5:32; 19:4-9; plus 1 Cor. 7:2-40, and especially verse 10 which says, "To the married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord), the wife should not separate from her husband." Verse 11b also states clearly, "and let not the husband put away his wife."

Again does the Bible Bugingo has read contain Gen. 2:18; Eph. 5:33; Luke 16:18, and 1 Cor. 7:39 which says, "A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to get married to whom she wishes, but only in the Lord"?

What is Bugingo's interpretation of these verses, and if he has not read them, which Bible has he been reading all those countless times?!

2. Consider Jesus' command: "What God has joined together let no man put asunder" (Mat. 19:6). Has Bugingo read it? Can he define either the logical or conceptual scope of its duration? In other words, where and when does the legality of that instruction's demand end?

3. About those who are joined in marriage Jesus asserts, "they are no longer two, but one flesh" (Gen. 2:24; Mat. 19:6). How can one separate with oneself?! Looking closely at the immediate context of the verse and Jesus' plot of thought here, one doesn't have to be a genius or even a cultured theologian to realise that the word "therefore" which Jesus uses immediately after his assertion, is actually 'there for something' - to emphasize what is otherwise implied, that he (Jesus) is speaking against divorce. Actually, the words 'no man's in the phrase "what God has joined together, let no man separate", speak also to the two, who are married. The husband and wife are also included in that prohibition.

There is the except clause of Mat. 5:23 that has always been looked at as Jesus' permission to divorce. While it is true that "marital unfaithfulness" or s*xual immorality can be a ground for divorce, if it happens, it comes as a regrettable consequence of an already defiled marriage, not as its approved remedy.

4. Does the Bible Mr. Bugingo has read have God's assertion "I hate divorce" in Mal. 2:16? When God says so, what does that mean for the married? Doesn't that imply that God requires that our marriage be a lasting one? Where does a marriage whose parties won't divorce end, if not till death separates them?

5. In Eph. 5:25-33, Paul likens the marriage between a husband and wife to Christ's relationship with the church, and commands the man to love his wife as Christ loves the church. When does Bugingo expect Christ to be separated with his 'bride' - the church?

When Bugingo says that the marital vows are not in the Bible. Is this to indicate that for him every activity, phenomenon, invention, and venture ought to be stated in the Bible for it to be true, right, or acceptable?

Should the Bible have stated in black and white: build cars, use computers, boil water before drinking it, form a political party, construct aeroplanes, make tarmac roads, establish hospitals, design smart phones, make jets, use treadmill and TRX bands for fitness, establish constitutions, set up universities, etc...so we know that doing such is biblical, and therefore acceptable?!

God created us in His image and gave us brains to use. In some aspects the Bible is specific and particular in accordance with both the immediate and wider contexts, but in other and actually most cases it states what is true or right in principle. What the Bible says in principle informs our conscience and so guides or facilitates our decisions and establishments.

As Christians we live by faith and reason, not faith apart from rationality, because we are commanded to love God with all our hearts, souls and minds (Mat. 22:37; Mk. 12:30, and Luk. 10:27).

6. Bugingo's reasoning that the vows compel the married to kill each other is very unfortunate. The worst of this assertion is its implication. He interprets the statement to mean, 'cause death, so you can then get married to another.' What peace do those who divorce enjoy, after? What society would survive if the parties that make it separated at each and every misunderstanding or conflict?

Dear Aloysius, marriage survives on the classic nature of agape love as stated in 1 Cor. 13.1-9, not on a series of separation, or of murder and remarriage. Love which understands, which bears, which forgives, is the kind that sustains marriage to the end.

7. Mr. Bugingo asserts that those marital vows came from Satan. Which irrefutable proof has he that their origin or author is Satan? Which evidence is there that makes such a claim valid?

May the Lord bless you for reading this. May He protect you from false and pseudo ideologies and teachings from self styled liars - enemies of the gospel and God's infallible word. May the Holy Spirit illumine our minds and keep us alert.

Beloved, take heart."You will know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:16, 20).

To Him be the glory!

BE ALERT AND INFORMED

In 1998, there were 170,000 employees working in Kodak and they used to sell 85% of the world's photo paper..In a few years, digital photography drove them out of the market .. Kodak went bankrupt and all his employees went on the road.

Friends beware,🤡

There was no shortage in the quality of all these, yet they went out of the market!!
reason??? 🤷🏼‍♂

They did not change in time, at the right time and over time the market had found an alternative to them!! This happens everyday in all walks of live from love affairs to politics.

You know that in the coming 10 years, the world will change completely and 70 to 90% of the industries running today will be shut down.

Welcome to the Connected Revolution of Systems Thinkers where we know and agree that:

"There is nothing more permanent than change, CHANGE is the most permanent phenomenon in the universe…"

Uber is just a software. Despite not having a single car of his own, it is the largest taxi company in the world.

Have you ever seen a high street store called Amazon, yet Amazon is the largest retail shop in the world.

Airbnb is the world's largest hotel company, even though they do not have a hotel of their own.

There are many examples such as paytm, ola cabs, oyo rooms.

There is no work left for young lawyers in the US now, because IBM Watson software gives better Legal Advice in a moment because they use algorithms to reach a decision.

In the next 10 years, 90% of US lawyers will become unemployed ... those who will save 10% ... they will be Super Specialists.

The same is going to happen to doctors.

Software named Watson performs Cancer Diagnosis 4 times more accurately than humans. By 2030, computers will be more intelligent than humans. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Argumented Reality (AR) are already with us today and there is no going back.

In the next 10 years, 90% of the cars will disappear from the roads around the world… those who will survive will be either Electric Cars or Hybrid… Roads will be empty, Petrol consumption will decrease by 90%, all Arab countries will go bankrupt.

You will get a car from a software like Uber and in a few moments a driverless car will be standing at your door ... If you share it with someone, then that ride will be cheaper than your bike. Fast forward another 10 to 20 years there will be drone taxis flying all over controlled by robots using blockchain technology operating on quantum computers.

99% Accidents will be stopped due to cars being driverless .. This will stop the business called Car Insurance.

No employment like driver will be left on earth. When 90% of the cars disappear from cities and roads, problems like Traffic and Parking will automatically disappear ... because one car will be equal to 20 Cars today.

5 or 10 years ago, there was no such place where there is no PCO. Then when the mobile phone came in everyone's pocket, then the PCO started to shut down .. Then all those PCO people started selling the recharge of the phone. Now you can recharge online.

Have you ever noticed ..?

Nowadays, every third shop in the market nowadays has mobile phones.
sale, service, recharge, accessories, repair, maintenance.

Now everything is done with Paytm .. Now people have started booking railway tickets from their phones too .. Now money transactions are also changing .. Currency Note was replaced by Plastic Money earlier and now it has become digital.

The world is changing very fast .. Keep the eyes and ears open or else you will be left behind…. This a permanent phenomena no one can run away from it's called "Desruptive Innovation".

Disruptive Innovation refers to a technology whose application significantly affects the way a market or industry functions. An example of modern disruptive innovation is the Internet, which significantly altered the way companies did business and which negatively impacted companies that were unwilling to adapt to it.

Then there is Desruptive Technology

Disruptive technology refers to any enhanced or completely new technology that replaces and disrupts an existing technology, rendering it obsolete.

A disruptive technology sweeps away the systems or habits it replaces because it has attributes that are recognizably superior. Recent disruptive technology examples include e-commerce, online news sites, ride-sharing apps, and GPS systems.

Prepare to change over time and the time is now.

Hence...

A person should also keep changing his business and his soci-economic and political vision (the world around you) over time because looking in one direction when the world is shifting will....... well I guess you know the result.

"Time to Time Update and Upgrade"

Move with time and achieve success.

The crocodile is one example of an animal that has outlived great catastrophes that have befallen earth for 200 million years why? Because it's naturally adapted to new environments from being able to live on water and land to being able to go fo a year without eating a major meal........ the list is endless.

So a human being must be like a crocodile by looking into the future:

Artificial Intelligence. ...

Blockchain. ...

Virtual/Augmented Reality. ...

Internet of Things.

If your social leaders are not looking into the future Desrupt Them
