THE LATE MOWZEY RADIO.

Born on 25/Jan/1985 and raised in Jinja District of Busoga Sub region, Moses Radio attended Kibuye Primary school in Makindye and later, Holy Cross Lake View Jinja for his O-Levels and later Kiira College Butiki for A-Levels before joining Makerere University where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Community Sociology in 2005. Radio released his first solo song, "Tujja Kuba Wamu" in 2004 while at Makerere University where he completed a degree in psychology, before joining the Leone Island Music Empire in 2005. He started as a backup singer along with Weasel behind Jose Chameleone.He had first success in the year 2005 after he had released a reggae love song called "Jennifer"; the official stage video for that song was filmed by Ugandan music promoter DJ Erycom.

In 2006, Mowzey Radio released another song titled "Sweet Lady", another well-received song that introduced him to a large fan base in Uganda. In October 2007, Mowzey Radio, Weasel and Jose Chameleone toured the United States and the Caribbean. Before they returned home, Radio and Weasel had misunderstandings with Jose Chameleone. Following disagreements between Jose Chameleone and the two, they quit the group and formed Goodlyfe Crew, which became successful. Their first song was "Nakudata", followed by "Ngamba" and others. He made music collaborations with musicians such as Rabadaba in the song "Ability" together with Weasel,produced by Just Jose.

In his singing career he did collaborations with both local and international artists winning awards and several nominations including the BET nominations.
Radio died on 1 February 2018 at Case Clinic in Kampala, Uganda,from a blood clot in his brain, sustained in a bar brawl in Entebbe a few days earlier. He was laid to rest at Nakawuka in Wakiso District.

But upto today his legacy still remains in the heart of Ugandans

Some of the entertainers we lost in 2023!

1. Tusuubira Ibrahim alias Jajja Iculi1 a.k.a Isma Olaxess (Blogger):
He died on 6th May aged 53 years. He was shot several times in the chest while driving back to his home in Kyanja at around 9:20pm

2. Evelyn Nakabira alias Evelyne Love aka Evelyn Lagu (Singer/Actress):
She died on 18th September aged 41 years. She had been battling kidney and heart related diseases for long.

3. Kato Lubwama Paulo - Lubwax (Singer/Actor):
He died on 07th June aged 52 years. He had been battling heart related conditions for a long time.

4. Asia Namirembe alias Asia wa Charles. (Tiktok Celebrity):
She passed away on 27th January aged 36 years. She was suffering from stomach pain and toothache for a week. When the situation worsened, she was immediately hospitalized and had to undergo emergency surgery. However, she did not survive the surgery

5. Kawooya Moses 'SAMADS' (Dancer):
He died on 22nd December aged 65 years. He had been battling different illnesses and the most painful one for him was when he developed a toothache and when he sought treatment at a hospital, the medical personnel who worked on him unfortunately left him with a damaged tooth vein that ruined his left jaw and this later developed a painstaking headache that caused him to get paralyzed on his left part of the head but he also got a swelling around his neck.

6. Musoko Derrick alias Dancer damina Uganda (Dancer):
Died on 03rd April aged 22 years. He succumbed to injuries he sustained following an accident in Kampala. He was buried in Bukoona, Iganga.

7. Naigaga Kabikira Loy alias Maama Iganga/Akalerero (Singer):
She died after battling a long illness.

THE AWAKENING.

Who is to blame for the mess in simcard registration?

Telecom companies have announced that starting November, 12, all simcards that have not been re-verified will be blocked and customers will not be able to make calls and other related services.

Addressing a joint press briefing at the UCC headquarters in Bugoloobi, Denis Kakonge, the director for legal and regulatory services at Airtel Uganda said the re-verification is not for all customers but rather only those who have received messages from the telecom company asking them to do so.
