EXPOSED: Gov’t Building Sophisticated Tech-Enabled Spying System Using High-Tech Traffic Surveillance to Spy on opposition and Crash Dissent

But the surveillance doesn’t stop at vehicles. Sources reveal that data from ITMS is being combined with phone location metadata, NIRA identification databases, and even mobile money transactions. Rev. Tibesigwa is not just a man of the cloth, he is a man of the people. He has been in our homes, in our churches, mosques, in our struggles.
While others were chasing tenders and positions, he was standing by our sickbeds, praying with grieving families, educating children, and counseling the troubled.
He has never needed a convoy to be respected, and he has never needed a microphone to be heard. His life speaks for itself.

By James Asiimwe Kanungu, the time has come. The drums of 2026 are beating louder by the day, and while others are sharpening their tongues and oiling their campaign vehicles, a different kind of leader is stepping forward, quietly, humbly, but with a presence that speaks louder than political noise...

EPS CRISIS : 80% Of Road Fines Collected Will Go to Russia

This means that if a Ugandan is fined shs 600,000 on a Ugandan road, Russian company (80%) will take home UGX 480,000, Uganda government (15%) UGX 90,000 and an unspecified individual or entity (5%) takes UGX 30,000.

“Imagine being fined daily on your own roads, only for most of that money to leave the country,” wrote one user on X. “Ugandans are being milked dry and handed crumbs from their own pockets.”

Uganda’s recently launched Electronic Penalty System (EPS), intended to enforce road safety, has instead sparked widespread public outrage and intense criticism from motorists across the country. The EPS, powered by Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, began issuing instant fines for...

Inside Parliament’s Hidden S*x Network: How Naive Female Legislators Are Lured, Used and Dumped

For many women entering Parliament, the dream is simple: serve the people, uplift their communities, and rise through the ranks of power. But as soon as they step into the political theatre, the script changes.

Fresh-faced and full of hope, these women often become targets for a well-oiled seduction machine operating under the radar—comprising senior politicians, ministers, government officials, and powerful figures in the security apparatus.

At first glance, the corridors of Uganda’s Parliament echo with power, influence, and prestige. But beneath the polished veneer of legislative business lies a darker undercurrent—a web of manipulation, seduction, and quiet destruction. This is the hidden world one female Member of Parliament exp...

While the government frames the initiative as an empowerment effort targeting small business operators dealing in agricultural produce, muchomo, fast food, and beverages, the timing has raised eyebrows among political observers.

With elections on the horizon, this surge in direct cash transfers appears to be part of a broader charm offensive by the long-serving leader to shore up grassroots support, especially among informal traders.

In what many are calling a calculated move to galvanize support ahead of the 2026 general elections, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has ramped up direct financial handouts to roadside market vendors along the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara highway. The President, through a high-level team from State House...

“Those who don’t vote for Baryomunsi should not come begging for mabugo,” Mrs Fosca Baryomunsi said, warning that they now plan to vet mourners using video evidence to determine political allegiance before any support is extended.

In a village gathering that quickly turned from routine to riveting, Mrs. Fosca Baryomunsi, wife of Uganda’s Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, made headlines after delivering a blunt message that has set tongues wagging in Kinkizi East, Kanungu District. Mrs. Fosca, sta...
