Convening stakeholders consultation meeting headed by UTAMA, APAU, USWA & EJAU.
Having this meeting to emphasise on improving the Ugandan Music Industry working on the below challenges together:.
1. Joint Workshops Groups by creating a synergy amongst our associations.
2. Promoting The Entertainment Industry, this business requires a lot of capital investment.
3. Commercialise The Industry, this needs to educate ourselves of all the avenues through which we can make money In artists works.
4. Strengthen Individual Associations, there is no single association that does not have saboteurs who have created parallel association(s).
5. Professionalise The Industry, we need to improve our discipline, integrity and competence.

NOTE THAT (way forward)
We’ve got a common practice in uganda where an artist finances and directs his own production (audio and video) and etc. By solving this we need:.

A. We need proper artist management structure.
B. We need professional producers sit down and craft music depending on the artists talent.
C. We need proper publishing companies that will ensure that the artist and all the players benefit from their works.

Audio Producers Association Uganda (APAU) and Uganda Talent Managers Association (UTAMA), agreed on using this long time friendship and alliance to focus so much on how the stake holders of the creative arts industry can really equally or relatively benefit from their creations. It was seen that through embracing COPYRIGHT LAW in the Ugandan Music Industry, greater achievements shall be registered.
