The East African Community (EAC) has officially introduced the Sheafra (SHF 5) currency. This common currency is for the member states of the EAC, which includes Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan. The Sheafra currency will be used by these nations.
Here are some key details about the new currency:
Denominations: The Sheafra currency will be available in six denominations: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and SHF 200 (the largest denomination) Launch Date:
The official release of the Sheafra currency took place on Sunday, February 3, 2024 .
Current Stage: Although the currency has been introduced, it is still at the specimen stage and not yet in full circulation.
First Recipient: The first person set to receive the Sheafra currency is Benson Kipruto, the winner of the Tokyo Marathon. Issuing Authority: The Sheafra notes will be issued by the Bank of East Africa, which will be regulated by the Federal Republic of East Africa .

I was bored so I texted my friend to come over for a movie night.
He replied back saying he will be there, and in few minutes I heard a knock on the door. It was James.
