Residents of Kakwezi Bwayegamba Kigarama sheema have tasked security to investigate and find out circumstances that resulted into burning the house of their fellow Tuhirwe Emanuel

Witnesses says last night around 8pm the house belonging to Tuhairwe Emanuel was set on fire and upon reaching at the scene his brother Twinomugisha Amon was seen running away from the burning house.

According to the chairperson LC1 Kankwezi cell Vincent Rukumbagaza says on several times Amon is being reported by his mother and brothers on different cases including attempts threatening to kill them.
Scovia Kaheru the mother of both Amon the accused and Emanuel the victim says since the 2004 when her husband died,Amon on several times has tried to attack her with a panga and since then she is living in fear .

Residents however says that incase police fail to investigate and arrest the suspect who they found them selves at the scene,they will resort to Mob justice although its against the law.

By press time around 10am police and investigators from Kagango and Iten dero police posts who never allowed to give a comment on the matter were already at the scene to investigate deep into the matter.

🇺🇬 *President Museveni gives green light to Tanzanian coffee investor*
📌President Yoweri Museveni received the Chairman of Amir Hamza Tanzania Limited, Mr. Amir Hamza Esmail, who Tuesday visited him at State House, Entebbe. Mr. Hamza who is also the Chairman of the Coffee Association in Kampala expressed enormous interest in adding value to Ugandan coffee. The President told him that Uganda has very good quality coffee and directed the Minister of State for Animal Industry Hon. Bright Rwamirama who was in the company of the investor whose Coffee factory is based in Bukoba Tanzania, to ensure he gets all the necessary support for establishing a coffee processing plant in Uganda.

🇺🇬 *UIA gives EACOP Uganda investment licence*
📌Uganda Investment Authority has given EACOP Uganda an investment licence to enable it access the various incentives offered by the Government. The EACOP Deputy Managing Director, John- Bosco Habumugisha said funding for the East African Crude Oil pipeline is at 60% and that fundraising is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

📌 Mpererwe leaders in Kampala have raised concern over the increasing number of single mothers in the area. During a community meeting on Tuesday, the Ssekanyonyi Zone LC 1 chairman Kilbirnie Musa complained of husbands who run away from their responsibilities leaving mothers with the burden. He cited that one Sarah Kisakye, a mother of five children was dumped by the husband in a blown off roof house and she is battling with the responsibility of looking after the children.

📌A contingent of 15 players and five officials from Royal Giant High School, Mityana was Tuesday flagged off at Parliament ahead of their departure to Durban, South Africa for the Under 20 Africa School Championships due to start on April 4. While flagging off the team, the Commissioner of Parliament Solomon Serwanyi handed them facilitation of 18 million shillings, on behalf of the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among.

🇺🇬 *NSSF targets 1.2M new members in next five years*
📌The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has set a target of registering 50,000 new employers and 1.2 million new members over the next five years. Patrick Ayota, acting NSSF MD said registration with NSSF for all employers in Uganda began in March and will run up to April 28, 2023. He said that once this window closes, late registration will attract a penalty of 10 percent of the Shs 75,000 that each employee of a particular company is supposed to contribute to NSSF.

🇺🇬 *KALAKI: Storm damages 39 households in Ogwolo sub county*
📌Residents of Ogwolo Sub County in Kalaki District are counting losses after their houses were destroyed by heavy rains on March 27, 2023. George William Eomu, LC III Ogwolo Sub County many people in the community including Police officers are now homeless. Four police houses (unipots) were washed away including the one occupied by the CID officer who is left without shelter.
Moses Ecou Elyau, a resident, says that people are stranded and sleeping outside and called on the Ministry of Disaster and Preparedness to provide temporary tents to the affected persons.

📌 The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal industry and Fisheries has given a tractor to farmers in Masaka-Kabonera. 📌The residents of Bukiro Town Council have constructed a water tank worth 38,000,000shs that will help them collect clean water from the mountains of Buhweju to supply Bukiro Town Council and the neighbouring villages. The project was launched by the Mbarara RDC Emmy Kateera who thanked the residents that offered land for free to construct the water tank. Kateera tasked the contractors of the water project to deliver in the given time frame.

📌 Mukono Resident District Commissioner, Fatuma Ndisaba Nabitaka, has cautioned school leaders who keep valuables and cash at school without sufficient security to stop. This follows recent attacks on schools in Mukono that have resulted in loss of property and life. During a security meeting at St Joseph Secondary School in Nagalama, Nabitaka dismissed claims that the Government had failed to provide adequate security to the community.

📌Police is investigating circumstances under which yet to be identified thugs shot dead a boda-boda rider known as Opio Job, 30, twice in the lower back on his way back from transporting a passenger to Kakolye centre in Nakapelimen village, South Division, Moroto Municipality. The Police used a canine dog to assist in investigations but lost track around Kanakomol village behind the Municipal abattoir. Police have recovered pieces of evidence that will help in further investigations to bring the suspects to book.

🌍 *Kenya and Uganda agree to free trade in dairy sector*
📌Kenya’s Trade and Investments Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria Tuesday held bilateral talks with Uganda’s Treasury Permanent Secretary Ramadan Ggoobi where the two countries promised to work together to boost their respective dairy sectors. “The comeback of Lato milk to the Kenyan market will see the Ugandan firm take the fight for control of the lucrative milk sector to the doorstep of some well-known Kenyan dairy brands like Brookside Dairy Limited'', said Kuria.

📌 NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua on Monday warned that any attempt to arrest Raila will be disastrous to the country. Meanwhile, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna has said those who want Azimio chief Raila Odinga arrested are stuck on who should execute it.
"The leadership of Kenya Kwanza is in agreement that Baba needs to be arrested, and the Police are in agreement that Baba needs to be arrested, however, where they are stuck is the person who will make the arrest," he said.

📌 *RWANDA: President Paul Kagame has promoted 2,430 junior officers of the Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF), among them Presidential Guard Intelligence Officer, 2nd Lieutenant Ian Gasana Kagame who has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant by the Commander In Chief, General Paul Kagame. According to a statement issued by RDF Wednesday, March 29, of those promoted include 1,119 lieutenants who were promoted to the rank of Captain while 1,311 Second Lieutenants were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

🌍 *38 migrants die of fire in Mexico detention centre*
📌A fire believed to have been started by migrants protesting against their deportation killed at least 38 people and injuring 28 at a Mexican immigration detention centre near the US border, authorities said Tuesday. The incident happened on Monday prompting demands for justice. Amnesty International said the fire was "a consequence of the restrictive and cruel immigration policies" of Mexico and the United States.
