Our Story
Kitara Music Awards (Ki-Mu Awards) provides an opportunity to Artists and the public in Bunyoro Kitara Region ( Hoima, Masindi, Kibale, Kiryandongo and Buliisa) to celebrate together as they enjoy music done by the local artists, the public is involved right away from the nomination process to the voting of their favorite Artists and on the awards night they gather to be witnesses as their artists receive awards on a big platform graced by media personalities and other regional leaders.
The inaugural event was held in 2015 at spot on Hoima under sponsorship of Club Beer, Lunyo Heights Ltd, Luna Graphics and A&K Promotions.
The event attracts an audience of more than 1000 people on the awards night and more than 100,000 are following via radio and social media eagerly waiting for the results of those who managed to win the awards in the respective categories.
