We are thrilled to share the highlights from last week when the UC.GC delegation visited the new international co-production conference and content market in the CEE region – Content Budapest!

The official conference program hosted a panel discussion dedicated to the Ukraine Content Club. During the session, UCC delegates, along with representatives of the initiative's international judging panel, presented to potential co-production and financing partners the first three documentary projects selected to be developed under the UCC umbrella:

- Russian Warship F*ck You! Decisive Battle (1+1 media) – spotlights the Ukrainian heroes who famously defended Zmiinyi Island (Snake Island) from Russian invaders, as well as other ordinary people who resisted elsewhere in Ukraine.

- Risen from the Ashes (FILM.UA Group) – using modern technology shows how cities are rebuilt following the destructive impact of war and draws links between the European locations affected by the Second World War and the Ukrainian cities being attacked by Russia.

- Wedding during the War (Суспільне Мовлення) – with more than 40,000 marriages registered in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion by Russia began, the project tells heartbreaking but uplifting love stories of people who decided to get married during the war.

These projects were carefully chosen from a diverse documentary series slate, representing the best selection of original Ukrainian feature titles available for potential partnerships and collaborations. The other projects – The Evil Empire, The Imaginary Worlds of Stanislav Lem, and For Life – remain available for any potential partnerships too.
